And we all very quickly got used to it

So today in Chingford I’m turning into a road from the main road and a guy is approaching the junction walking on the pavement with headphones on . I use the horn to let him know I’m there turning and he continues to cross and I brake heavily . He then gestured to me I’m the idiot . Who’s in the wrong ?
