@ihaviation The timing will eat into AI 647/648 traffic barring connecting int'l passengers. 3 flights by afternoon on this sector might force to AI reduce frequency. A late evening flight would get good response tho.
IndiGo cancels Navi Mumbai-Jamnagar route; to operate Mumbai-Jamnagar flights instead
IndiGo, in an understandable move, has cancelled its planned launch of Navi Mumbai-Jamnagar route.
However, it doesn’t mean that 6E is not starting flights to Jamnagar. ihaviationandtravel.com/2026/04/10/ind…
@ShivamVahia Some do this because drivers accept a ride and then reject it. They think it's better to wait at home and let the cab come rather than wait downstairs/on the road.
One interesting observation:
It is very common to see upper class Indians crib about lack of civic/driving sense in the country, which is fair. Signals/lanes are not followed, zebra crossings vanish after one rainfall, people jaywalk, cars honk too much etc.
But the same upper class folks have zero civic sense when taking an Uber cab. Firstly, the mindset that let the cab come and stop, only then I'll leave and go downstairs is very entitled. Drivers often wait 5-10 mins for a pickup -- wastage of time. Since they are blue collars, we don't consider their time precious. "Rukega vo..." I HATE this attitude.
Secondly, the "rukega vo" mindset leads to cascading issues -- kahan rukega vo? In cities like BOM and BLR, the cabs end up randomly parked or stopped in the middle of a busy street or outside an establishment. The roads are too narrow, creating a royal clusterfuck bottleneck. The driver doesn't have an option but to be an idiot + hear a mouthful from local watchmen or cops or other drivers.
I see this hypocrisy on a daily basis.
@BhatAnvesh@networkthoughts I feel BOM flights would do better. NMI flights are not competitively priced and timings don't provide superior onward connections from NMI.
IndiGo to add Jamnagar to its network effective April 23, 2026
IndiGo will operate Daily flights from Navi Mumbai, deploying the A320 family aircraft
6E2053 NMI1600 - 1730JGA
6E2054 JGA1810 - 1935NMI
@akshaycas@AviationAll_ Correct. Might help for onward connections but doubt if it will be useful for O&D traffic. Applies to all destinations (in Gujarat) being connected to NMI be it Rajkot/Bhavnagar/Jamnagar/Bhuj.
@AviationAll_ Don't understand how feasible is this flight as maximum Jains stay in Western suburbs ,and it's impractical to leave at 3 am take 2 hours to reach and it costs 2000 Rs when an overnight train can make u reach same destination at fraction of the cost
After years of delay in closing the sale of 3 x @jetairways B777-300ER (VT-JES, VT-JEM, VT-JEV) to Ace Aviation, an agreement to sell has finally been executed.
The aircraft were originally earmarked for conversion to freighters. I hope they fly again 🤞

@mumbaiheritage Three buildings built by three brothers on what was known as the Kennedy Sea Face: Kapur Mahal (Kapurchand Mehta), Zaver Mahal (Zaverchand Mehta) and Keval Mahal (Kevalchand Mehta).
Sharing a lovely photo by Ishan Khosla from 1963.
When Marine Drive was newly reclaimed in the late 1930s, buildings like Kapur Mahal were among the first to shape the curve that became the Queen’s Necklace.
This was also the start of Mumbai’s Art Deco story, which marks 100 years this year since the style first appeared in 1925.

In 1973, when princely titles were history, Jamnagar’s ruler Shatrusalyasinhji D. Jadeja entered uniform as Honorary Wing Commander. The Indian Air Force did not honour a title; it honoured a man who kept serving after titles stopped mattering. (1/14)

@ParveenKaswan The giveaway was the shop names, which are in Hindi. The only place where you can see lions roaming around like this is in Gujarat, and most of the shops there have their names written in Gujarati.
This video showing a lion sniffing human has around 7 millions views. This is AI generated video. Imagine how AI can be used to confuse people. And now imagine AI is still at nascent stage !!

@flyboy_forever Combination of Driver and Mercedes both (Lewis, Toto, Niki and the team). Ferrari had a real chance to win the WDC in 2017 and 2018 but couldn't carry the momentum post summer break. Merc was a complete team back then.
P.s. I'm a Vettel fan :)
@sjlazars@KaptainPetrovs Sans the engine problems, I feel A220 is the perfect product for connecting Tier 2 & 3 cities. We would've known better about it's effectiveness, had Jet 2.0 taken off.
Hahahaa
Point 7 - you missed out Boeing 737 and Airbus 319, you cited every other aircraft they are considering lol
I’m telling you it’s gonna be A220 (I’ve felt so since last July)
1; 2 & 3 are not predictions - they are normal in the course of things. In fact AI is sizing up more Airbus orders, but Trump in the White House could change a lot, and nudge AI to pick a few more Boeings too, especially made in - Trump Country.
4 will be interesting, since AI has been relooking at Hyd-LGW since December. (Also maybe 6E- VA)
8 - is a distinct possibility once Trump gets into office, he will take 3 months to sort out that war, it’s his top priority. Peace with Putin.
@VedicKarthik@PaxMacintosh@unraveaero Those who vote for it and those who pay direct taxes are two completely different groups. Former one has clear majority over the latter.
