Left here and abroad condemn Kwarteng’s £45 billion gamble in tax cuts as a budget for the rich. But it is supported by the Mail, Express and Telegraph. However the pound falls to $1.09. Exciting times. Let’s hope the gamble pays off.

There are some deeply troubling scenes coming out of Leicester -long held up as a success story when it comes to community cohesion. I hope the new government has a plan.
