@BuffaloBills keeping beane and firing mcdermott is going to be one of the biggest mistakes in the modern nfl landscape and will damage us for a decade +

@BuffaloBills Now nobody remembers that the Bills got screwed and they all want to know who the next Bills coach is. Incredible PR job and clean-up by the NFL (National Fraud League) crisis team.

Sean McDermott's goal was to get this team to the Super Bowl and in that he failed. But McDermott embraced Buffalo like he was born and raised there.
He coached his players with high expectations, but also showed care and compassion for them as people.
While Josh Allen is the Bills shining star, I always felt Sean McDermott was its soul. That will be hard to replace

Dear Coach McDermott,
Thank you.
Thank you for taking over a franchise that was broken long before you arrived — and refusing to let it stay that way. Thank you for walking into Buffalo when hope felt fragile, when the playoff drought felt permanent, and when being a Bills fan meant bracing for disappointment.
You didn’t just win games. You restored pride.
You broke the drought before Josh Allen ever became Josh Allen. You taught this team how to work, how to believe, how to carry itself. You built a culture that mattered — one rooted in accountability, humility, and toughness. For the first time in a long time, the Buffalo Bills felt stable. They felt respected. They felt like a real organization again.
You were a leader of men. Players trusted you. Fans trusted you. Families trusted you with something that mattered deeply to them. You felt like more than a coach — you felt like family. Like the uncle who shows up every year, does things the right way, and gives everything he has even when it’s not easy.
We know football is a results business. We know the standard changes when you find a quarterback like Josh Allen. But that doesn’t erase what you gave, or how hard this is to accept. It doesn’t erase the 98 wins, the playoff nights, the belief, or the sense that for once… the Bills were safe in good hands.
This ending hurts because it mattered.
Because you mattered.
No matter what comes next — for you or for this team — know this: Buffalo won’t forget what you did here. You helped heal something. You gave us years we’ll never take for granted.
Thank you for the stability.
Thank you for the dignity.
Thank you for the culture.
Once a Bill, always a Bill.
With gratitude and respect,

@RapSheet @nflnetwork Word is McDermott pegula and Beane had a meeting 5 weeks ago and McDermott made demands and talked about what he needed to win and Beane and pegula reacted negatively to McDermott's demeanor in that meeting. Josh Allen knew this which is why he was so emotional after the game.
English

From The Insiders on @NFLNetwork: The #Bills moved on from coach Sean McDermott today because simply, they wanted a new leader.
English

@RapSheet @nflnetwork The mafia doesn’t love the pagulas or Beane. We love coach McDermott.

Players are pissed. Fans are pissed.
Seems like Pegula pissed almost everyone off by firing McDermott instead of Beane.

It’s not Sean McDermott’s fault that he had to play LB Baylon Spector and CB Dane Jackson in the biggest game of the year.
McDermott didn’t hand out bad contracts and screw up the #Bills cap situation.
McDermott didn’t give Curtis Samuel, Joshua Palmer and Elijah Moore almost $70 million in total value.
McDermott didn’t go on WGR and puff out his chest saying that “bitching about wide receiver is one of the dumbest arguments” that he’s ever heard.
McDermott didn’t fail to add a WR at the trade deadline.
McDermott didn’t fail to add a legitimate pass rusher to this team after pouring asset into asset into this DL, year after year.
McDermott wasn’t the main one responsible for all of the missed draft picks over the years.
Sean McDermott had his shortcomings, no doubt. But I saw a lot of growth from him this year and thought he did more with less.
GM Brandon Beane should’ve been the one to go, if the Bills really wanted to make a change.
