Who am I missing?
@ProbablyAnnoy@elonmusk@Not_the_Bee Boring?
You mean you could literally do whatever you want, instead of flipping burgers or emptying trash cans or... even if you have a higher paying job, doing that bullshit for 10 hours a day?
How do you have so little imagination or desire to do non-work?
Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI.
AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.
Actually, AI/Robotics will mean everyone can have a penthouse if they want. The output of goods & services will be several orders of magnitude higher than today’s economy.
Read the Iain Banks Culture books for the best imagining of how it will be.
That said, what is the future you want? Amazing abundance seems the best to me.
grok 4.3 beta can use an ubuntu shell and a persistent file layer to generate artifacts
grok wrote python to encode the xai / grok logo into audio, i gave it the script back and had it render a spectrogram video from that signal, and use the grok_files tool to save the mp4 into the product's files layer
i opened the file from the files panel and played it myself
this is getting crazy
@Rick_Ferri@ewarren Except they have been supposed to do that for 40 years but haven’t. Instead voodoo economics destroyed America and normal working class jobs
A wealth tax on the top .15% of the richest families would generate $6.2 trillion in revenue.
That could pay for:
Universal childcare
Millions of new homes
Slashing child poverty
Medicare for people aged 55+
Universal paid family leave
Tuition-free community college
And more.
In Thailand, the annual military draft lottery in early April requires young men to draw a card : red means two years of mandatory service, and black means exemption.
As you read about Anthropic's Mythos capabilities to find critical security weaknesses, consider what if a Chinese AI company had gotten here first. There is a real race underway, and its in our interest I believe for U.S. companies to win.
@pmarca We aren’t as close to agi as people think
My cousins company rev ~$90M had issues with their sage ERP system
Tried to import a simple adjustment using all 3 leading AI and they couldn’t crack sage’s shitty import template rules
Thought it would have been instant.. nope
The pricing tiers for AGI are something like (1) $20/month, (2) $200/day = ~$75,000/year, (3) $1,000/day = ~$350,000/year, and (4) ~$10 billion. For now.
Magical OpenClaw experiences that use frontier models cost $300-1,000/day today, heading to $10,000/day and more. The future shape of the entire technology industry will be how to drive that to $20/month.
@spacebrandonb@iliketeslas Nice message from the heart.
But gotta ask. Why the Canadian flag with equal billing to the Stars and Stripes?
No offense. I get there’s a token Canuck along for the ride but the US taxpayer is paying 99% of the cost. If this were Hollywood there’d be only one headliner.
I’m not asking you, I’m telling you.
Take a moment and listen to this 81 second response from Victor Glover after being asked if he had any thoughts leading up to Easter.
I don’t quite think it can be overstated how perfect this crew is for the job.
