A woman was arrested after she allegedly punched a Planet Fitness employee in the face and caused a scene inside and outside the gym before trying to flee, an arrest report states.
Kiara Bryant, 35, is facing two misdemeanor charges after witnesses saw her punch an employee in the face at the gym on 775 SW 8th Street on Dec. 12, according to Miami police.
Officers were first called to the scene in reference to a woman "running without clothing at the Planet Fitness" at around 10:11 a.m.
When they arrived, Bryant was allegedly causing a disturbance in the parking lot, yelling profanities and "attempting to fight everyone," authorities said.
An arrest report says it began with a disturbance in the locker room. When the victim told Bryant that she could not yell inside the gym and that he would call police if she did not lower her voice or leave, she allegedly came up to his face.
The victim "pushed her back and away from him... in self-defense twice," the arrest report describes. Bryant allegedly continued to be aggressive, balling up her fists.
