🌍 The WCO Radiological and Nuclear Detection Awareness (RANDA) Project regional radiation detection awareness training - Mombasa, Kenya, 2 to 6 March 2026 👮‍☢️ With 15 Customs officers participating from Burundi 🇧🇮, Kenya 🇰🇪, Rwanda 🇷🇼, Tanzania 🇹🇿, and Uganda 🇺🇬, this WCO training strengthens officers’ abilities to detect and respond to nuclear threats, with a focus on smuggling risks, types of materials involved, and concealment methods. 🤝 Supported by Kenya Customs and the WCO Regional Intelligence Liaison Office for Eastern and Southern Africa (RILO ESA), and funded by the United States’ National Nuclear Security Administration's Office of Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence, this initiative reinforces Customs’ vital role in protecting public safety and security across the region. @OBR_BI @KRACare @rrainfo @TRATanzania @URAuganda
