@courtlandleer No kidding, if I’m working on a specialized memory solution (education), which benchmarks should I pay attention to?

it’s hard for me to express sufficiently just how dishonest it is (if you really work on memory) to present a LongMem score as some kind of breakthrough it’s a 3 year old benchmark, the results here are dishonest, it’s a marginal amount of tokens in contemporary ai, an everyone aces it already

I really appreciate how @OpenAI supports fair competition! Now that @claudeai with 1M context has degraded to the well known state of enthusiastic idiocy, they’re matching it with codex. Feeling lucky to use llms for the exact 3 months period when they were useful

People who sell things online: I AM NEVER GOING TO CALL FOR PRICING. Never. I’m going to close your website and move on to the next one that lists prices.

@kennel_panic I named my company after city where I was born, which I miss most in my life and which I think most beautiful in the world. Any issues with that?

@karrisaarinen @yanatweets I recently had a tour to an exhibition of two artists, by themselves, and they gave some insights into the work of the curator He was not a discriminator or evaluator, but ended up a co-author of the entire exhibition, which ended up greater than meres sum of the works

That was kind of PGs original statement that people like to pretend it doesn’t exist even if they see the evidence of it all the time. This discussion also made me think about taste of curator and taste of creator. The curator only evaluates the output with some kind of context, and the creator deals with the stress and ambiguity of exercising their taste in daily basis with some kind of vague sense of what is the right path. I think the classic quote by Steve “Microsoft has no taste”, meant that MS building things, copying things, without having a belief system or cultural framing for their work that guided the decisions. What they built was ugly and crude because their focus was in dominating markets, not creating some meaning. And this again where we are at. Dominating markets.

That guy who made OpenClaw is now working at OpenAI. What does this mean? Probably nothing. What does it mean if you're an AI hype bro? This. Changes. Everything. Subscribe to my newsletter

@thdxr Claude Code is working well enough for me not to look elsewhere rn. Once something is leagues better, I'll switch, but it's tiring keeping up with the hot shit of the week.

@mdubakov Second if anybody The vendors will always slip into protecting their competition, resulting in mid UX. End-users will prefer agnostic harnesses giving them access to the current best tool

Two camps are forming in AI Agents: 🐛 Vertical: Productivity tools building their own agents (Notion, ClickUp, etc.) 🦗 Horizontal: AI vendors like Anthropic and OpenAI building universal agents that connect to everything via MCP. Which side are you betting on?

I wonder how much it would take to get Ghostty going on Windows. Since it's a game engine, I should be able to port it. (it actually has some resemblence to parts of a game engine internally, as oposed to a certain flicker tui)
