Can somebody at @NYC_DOT please explain to me how this is even remotely acceptable? With the new parking lane, cars can't pull out of the way to let this ambulance pass. When every second counts in an emergency, this could literally mean death for someone in a crisis. I have heard from so many people about how this Court Street redesign was a terrible idea, and this really seals the deal. Someone could be dead because of this. Local Law 6 of 2025 - which I introduced, and was passed - mandates that local firehouses MUST be consulted before changes like this go into effect. Again —as Zohran Mamdani tries to reinvent himself for the general election in an attempt to play New Yorkers for fools, remember what he himself has said in the past. He is a fraud. "I know what someone wants to hear, right? I know what someone wants to hear to laugh. I know what someone wants to hear to feel whatever it might be," Mamdani said. "In such an eagerness to make friends and be popular and whatever it might be, I would play to whatever X person needed from me as opposed to being who I actually wanted to be. It's like being a great mirror, right, you know? You just give, you give people exactly what they want."

This is a complete lie by the elitist New York liberal media, whose rich buddies love the idea of pricing poor people out of the city. The truth is simple agreements on judicial timelines have no bearing on the underlying merits of our case or our position.   Here are the facts: 1. @USDOT’s position remains that New York’s elitest cordon pricing scheme is illegal, a form of class warfare that targets working Americans, and unfair to the driving public whose tax dollars have already paid for these roads. 2. USDOT’s deadline for stopping toll collection has not changed. Make no mistake – the Trump Administration and USDOT will not hesitate to use every tool at our disposal in response to non-compliance later this month. 3. USDOT will continue to fight tooth and nail against this unlawful tax on hardworking Americans. Don’t buy the MTA’s spin, who are desperate to manufacture fake news to distract from the fact that their riders are getting assaulted regularly.

I couldn't agree more. New Jersey is right to immediately appeal this decision to the Circuit Court. The bottom line: The Congestion Tax is a disaster for New Jersey and New York families, for their pocketbooks, and health — and I'll keep fighting it!
