Saya berumur 58 tahun. Saya generasi keempat di Malaysia. Tiga moyang saya datang ke Tanah Melayu sebagai buruh pada penghujung abad ke-19. Saya langsung tiada hubungan dengan India. Saya pun tidak tahu siapa saudara saya di sana atau dari kampung mana moyang saya datang. Malaysia sahaja yang saya kenal sejak saya dilahirkan.
Di sinilah saya membesar. Di sinilah saya bersekolah, bekerja, membayar cukai, membesarkan anak dan menyumbang kepada negara. Anak saya juga lahir di Malaysia. Inilah rumah kami. Inilah tanah tumpahnya darah kami.
Sebab itu apabila saya membaca kenyataan seperti ini, saya benar benar tertanya tanya. Kalau saya bukan milik Malaysia sepenuhnya, jadi saya milik negara mana? Saya nak balik ke mana sedangkan saya tidak pernah ada rumah lain selain Malaysia?
Ramai rakyat Malaysia hari ini sudah generasi ketiga, keempat malah kelima. Mereka lahir di sini, membesar di sini, bekerja di sini dan akan dikebumikan di sini. Bukankah Malaysia juga tanah air mereka?
Saya tidak mahu anak cucu saya membesar dengan rasa mereka perlu membuktikan bahawa mereka “cukup Malaysia”. Saya mahu mereka membesar dengan yakin bahawa negara ini juga milik mereka, sama seperti setiap warganegara lain yang setia kepada Malaysia.
Pada akhirnya, saya harap kita menilai seseorang bukan kerana dari mana nenek moyangnya datang lebih 100 tahun dahulu, tetapi kerana siapa dia hari ini, bagaimana dia menyumbang kepada negara, dan sejauh mana dia mencintai Malaysia.
Rumah saya bukan di tempat lain. Rumah saya ialah Malaysia. 🇲🇾

“FIFA’s judicial bodies are independent. They operate autonomously, apply the FIFA Disciplinary Code, and decide cases based on the applicable regulations and the specific facts before them. Their independence is essential to the credibility and integrity of football, and this must always be respected.
“Yes, I regularly discuss matters related to the FIFA World Cup with the President of the United States, and on this matter, I did receive a call from President Donald Trump, just as I receive calls from heads of state, government officials, football stakeholders and business executives from around the world on many different issues. During our conversation, I explained that there was an ongoing legal process involving FIFA’s independent judicial bodies and that the case would be decided in due course by the competent bodies. The concept I have had for quite some time — A strong feeling that the name of these Patriots, “ICE,” should be changed to, “NICE,” in that it will totally discombobulate Crooked, Dishonest, and Unpatriotic Reporters and Journalists. For them to say, “We went to a NICE Facility today,” as opposed to “ICE” or, “NICE Agents have deported a Violent Drug Dealer,” they won’t be able to handle it, they will go totally crazy! All it means is adding an “N” (“National”) to “ICE (“Immigration and Customs Enforcement”) — A much more prestigious name. Everyone loves it, but I have been told by the legendary Tom Homan that the Agents do not love it as much as the other population. Who thinks that we should add an “N” to change the name of “ICE” to “NICE?”
