@ESPNRefNHL @KeithKavJr This is my point right here. Hartman completely facing the other way and he knows exactly where the guy is. Doughty knew exactly where Drury was and exactly what would happen if he backed up into him. If this is an interference on Hartman, then that should’ve been a good goal

@ESPNRefNHL @KeithKavJr Fair. But I do think the way to make it more black and white is to establish a rule that doesn’t include intent in it. As soon as intention becomes involved it becomes a massive gray area.

I just don’t know what Jack Drury is supposed to do there. Goalie interference is a nightmare of a rule. Too much gray area. Need the definition to be more black and white

@ACumbow I know they aren't, I think that will end up being a deficiency in the roster. 6'9" Ward, 6'7" Glenn will take most of the minutes. B1G is loaded in the frontcourt. Any Ward foul trouble means we have one player >6'7" on the floor unless we play two 5's.

@khabi21 They aren’t adding a PF. They have 3-4 guys already capable of playing that spot. No minutes available.

I’ll be honest and say that I would have preferred to see MSU go after a Bidunga, Thiam, Cyril, Sylla, etc type but Bonke is a solid addition. Will be nice to have a 7 footer on the team. Had interest from some other really good programs (Kansas, Gonzaga, Arkansas, etc). I think playing with good guards like Fears and Medlock will make him better offensively. He can stretch the floor a bit although we will see if he does that at MSU. Concerns I would have would be on the defensive end. I think offensively he will fit fine and be solid there. Roster I’m guessing is now set barring something crazy and Cooper or Kohler getting an additional year. I could also see them potentially adding a low profile guard as another ball handler with Ugochukwu leaving but I wouldn’t bet on that. I think they have enough guard depth as is. Jervis can be your emergency PG if necessary.

@SpartanHoops_DK Love it! Shores up size at the 5 spot and I believe Izzo and staff can get the full potential out of him. Now go get one more 6’9” forward to shore up 4 spot size and we’re a legit natty contender!

7’2” Anton Bonke commits Flashes of offensive upside as a PNR lob and ORB put-back threat. Form on his 3PT/FT shot are relatively smooth and are large swing skills for his growth. Some low block post acumen. S&C huge factor to become a better floor runner/finisher around the rim

@Sheehan_Sports I think we still need size at the 4. We have 3 7-footers at the 5, I think that's shored up (tho very inexperienced). The 4 spot now is 6'9" Ward, 6'7" Glenn, 6'7" Avent (if he doesn't redshirt). Need another 6'9" forward to shore up the interior for rim protection & rebounding.

Some thought on the Trillysphere MSU may have a late portal entry. Not altogether surprising. With Fears and Carr eating up 60sh minutes a night the 1-3 spot has 60 minutes to give to a combo of Medlock, Jervis, Scott, Divine, Teng, Glenn (predominantly PF with a splash of SF).
