@One_Crypto_Lord @CoinTracker What kinds of txns are you having to manually classify?
English

@CoinTracker Bruh, you guys may take minutes to import transactions from a single wallet, then require hours to manually classify transactions afterwards.
That quick export to form 8949 button is nice if you get there tho
English

@DiscoverLite @coinbase @CoinTracker We have a guide for that here: support.cointracker.io/hc/en-us/artic…
English

@coinbase @CoinTracker So what do you do with Coinbase Pro transactions prior to 2023? Is there a seamless way to import the cost basis without having to manually type everything?

@khalidakbary @cointracker_cs @CoinTracker @grok Any information my friend? With tax season ending right around the corner I’d like to get ahead of this and $wPOND is the one holding me up. Thanks 🙏
English

@CoinTracker @cointracker_cs $wPOND just add the asset. It’s not unknown. It’s valid. @grok how can I resolve this issue?

English

@MichaelKortz1 @CoinDesk @Jehoseph The form is pretty rough. If you didn't keep good records yourself or just have too many transactions to go through, there are crypto tax solutions like CoinTracker which automate this for you.
English

Let me check on the spam classification for that asset.
To clarify about the pricing. There are some assets for which we have pricing data, but they don't show up in portfolio views. That means your taxes could be accurate, even though your portfolio is not. However, if you're seeing bad pricing on your transactions, then taxes are likely incorrect as well. In that case, you can edit cost basis and proceeds on your transactions to correct it.
We're working on expanding our pricing coverage too so if we're missing some pricing for assets you've traded, that should get better with time.
English

@khalidakbary @cointracker_cs @CoinTracker @grok The tax calculations are not correct if my coin and the value of it is not calculated alongside the rest of my assets. Thank you for your help.
English

@jacobma82040711 @cointracker_cs @CoinTracker @grok Just to confirm, the issue is that you're not seeing it in your portfolio views, right? The tax calculations should not be impacted by whether it shows in your portfolio views or not. We'll be updating our portfolio views soon to include more assets so that should solve this.
English

@cointracker_cs @CoinTracker @grok Instead of upvoting , can we just resolve the issue and I’ll send you a couple $Wpond once it hits a dollar ? Seems fair. Thanks sincerely and ULTRA member trying to do taxes.
English

@ArbazCryptoTax Sometimes it's correct to do both. For example, Robinhood's API returns trades only, not transfers. In that case you need to connect by API and import the transfers CSV.
English

CoinTracker Duplicate Transactions
CoinTracker Duplicate Transaction Bug, I see this constantly. What happens: You connect both an exchange CSV AND the API for the same account. Result: Every transaction appears TWICE. Your gains are doubled. Your tax bill looks 2x what it should be. Signs you have duplicates: → Gain/loss totals look unrealistically high → Same transaction appears on the same date/time twice → Wallet balances don't match actual holdings. Fix: Use EITHER CSV import OR API connection — never both. Audit your transaction count. Cross-reference against exchange statements. Duplicates = disaster on your return.

Crypto tax solutions face a similar challenge. It's impossible to keep up with everything that's being built across all chains. Ideally, we'd like to enable dapps to launch with tax support on day 1 because we've heard many users say they won't use dapps if they don't have a good tax solution for it (not worth complicating their taxes), but things end up being very reactive for all crypto tax solutions. If there's an opportunity to plug crypto tax solutions into this process to enable dapps to have proper tax support at launch, the CoinTracker team would be interested in helping with this!

80% of my role @SolanaFndn is distribution: amplifying announcements, connecting teams to opps for more distribution, and finding new distribution channels (so we can do more of this!)
Problem is keeping up with everything happening on Solana is impossible (and we're stuck in the same algo that you all are)
Have been working on something to solve both these challenges:
- a private spot for builders on Solana to swap ideas & collab
- share news directly for amplification
- get access to the people & resources you need
- plus other perks
More to come 🔜

@depressivehacks @CoinTracker What kind of errors are you seeing on the forms?
English

@CoinTracker The forms are so inaccurate, though. Incredibly short sighted to put this burden on consumers.
English

@khalidakbary @khalidakbary Thanks for reaching out. Some of my 2021 NFT purchases were misclassified, so the cost basis didn’t carry through correctly.
I tried unfreezing prior years and updating the original transactions, but wasn’t able to fully resolve it through the CoinTracker platform.

@adagiallife @BeatriceAnihiri We updated our Cardano integration recently at CoinTracker. Have you had a chance to try it out? I'd love to hear any feedback you have, good or bad!
Let me know if you have any questions.
English

This is how I found out not a single crypto tax software gets Cardano right at all💀

@dannythedawger @Uniswap 👏 Awesome to see that this supports add liquidity actions too!
English

just shipped chained actions on @Uniswap
crosschain swapping is the first use case
a composable state machine that breaks any multi-step swap into a plan of atomic operations, self-custodial at every step
we didn't hack this on top of something else, we went back to first principles:
- zero MEV
- zero trust assumptions
your funds are always yours, you can walk away from the plan at any point
plus errors don't kill the swap, the plan just updates and picks up where it left off
any chain to any chain, composable with LPing, CCAs, and whatever comes next (plus, agents are treated as first class citizens)
if you're building & are interested in crosschain swapping API access, dm me

@pace_rabbit @CoinTracker Yes we support defi positions/transactions from the tax perspective
English

@CoinTracker This removes a major pain point for traders managing multiple platforms. Does it handle DeFi positions and staking rewards, or primarily centralized exchanges?
