It's not quite a pipeline or affordable homes. But congratulations on building something, anything.

Where it all started - my journey as an immigrant ✨ This weekend, I was at the local grocery store and I saw these. You might think - it's just wafers? Let me tell you a story of the role these wafers played in my life. If you don't know me - I was born and raised in Poland, and moved to the UK shortly after my A-levels. I was 18. I didn't grow up in a wealthy family, so I'd never been properly abroad, or on holiday, apart from a short school trip to Germany. It was my first time abroad, first time on the plane, and first time in the UK. I had no family over here, no friends, and I could barely speak English. I chose Manchester, and so the accent made it difficult to understand anything. I had just over £200 in my pocket (which would be worth around £270 now), and I'd found a houseshare on Gumtree - I didn't know who I was going to live with, I hadn't seen the pictures of the place. I had no National Insurance number, no bank account, no job - nothing. For weeks, I lived on dry bread with ketchup or lemon curd if I felt like something sweet. I didn't want to ask my family for money, and we didn't have much anyway, so I decided to try and do it all myself. Every night I cried myself to sleep wondering why I chose this path. After a couple of weeks, I found a job - at a JD Sports warehouse in Rochdale, Manchester. I was working night shifts and carrying heavy boxes all night long, but it was fine - because I needed the money to survive. And then my first weekly wage arrived - while it was very little money, I could pay my rent, and I had £15 leftover for me - to have fun, toiletries and food. I didn't have any fun, and I couldn't afford toiletries either, so I had to secretly use my housemate's toiletries hoping she wouldn't notice, as I couldn't even afford a shampoo. After weeks of barely surviving on dry bread, I went to the local Tesco to treat myself. And I bought these for £1. It felt like so much money at the time. When I got home, I made myself a coffee with my housemate's supplies, and I had these. All 6 of them. And then I cried again. And then I found an apprenticeship - paying me a mere £3 (worth about £4.30 now) per hour to run an office, fire people, write warning letters, manage finances, reconcile invoices - I was still a child, but it taught me a lot. And from then on, the journey continued over the years - I quickly moved from business management to technology, then learned to code, and now I'm here. I spent countless nights falling asleep in front of my laptop, trying to learn as much as possible in as little time to accelerate my career. This paragraph is 8 years of career - there's a lot more I could tell you. So when I saw these at the weekend - all the memories came back, and this year marks 10 years since I moved to the UK. I had tears in my eyes scanning them through self-checkout this weekend, just like I did 10 years ago. But it did make me appreciate where I am in life those 10 years later. #immigrantstories

Me 10 mins ago vs me now🤭 It’s my bday 🥳 as always I’m grateful for everyone I’ve had the pleasure meeting (or displeasure🤭) in the last 12 months. I’ve managed to make so many dreams come true (with the help of many of you), and so thank you for putting up with me 🫡 #29

@cogeco is a joke. No TV, no WiFi This time 24 hrs, 3rd time in a month service goes out. Every month , here is your bill for our garbage service, but never an offer of discount for services not received.

@habwilly @CBCNews @WestJet I filled in the form yet again, but have no idea what the status is. No response back, no number to call. @tripcentral say they have no visibility into status of refunds even though we booked through them. Please do better @westjet.

@habwilly @WestJet Us too @habwilly. Paid in full as September 2019, cancelled with WestJet in April 2020, filled out paperwork for a refund in September 2021, and we have heard nothing. Tripcentral says they don’t have visibility into the refund status for WestJet so cannot help.

So, trip booked 2 1/2 Years ago. Canceled 2 years ago. Still waiting for @WestJet to get refund. Almost $3400 waiting and the worst part is nobody an give you any info. We keep getting emails asking if we've received a refund. How do they not know? Too frustrating. Anyone else?

@WestJet We submitted the refund paperwork in Sept. 2021 for a trip that was purchased in September 2019. @tripcentral apparently has no visibility into the refund status, and we can't get a hold of anyone at #WestJet . I'm tired of talking to a bot. Help !! #tripcentral
