I honestly cannot believe people are still defending the 65 game rule, some even going as far as to say it should be increased to 70. There has not been one single positive from the rule.

@redrock_bball How so? Shai and other stars want to play at least 65 if they can. Shai played some games in back to backs where he could have rested if not to clear the 65 threshold before resting games. Had a game against Brooklyn where he played a half. I think he sits without the rule.

So, Ant is out tomorrow. Now he is ineligible for end of season awards. I think he pushed to come back last game too early and it seems to have aggravated his knee. Another win for the 65 game rule!!

In order for this to happen Kawhi must become a free agent, Draymond Green must opt out of his current contract and signed for $15 million then KP would have to sign around the same range as Draymond.

You realize this rule to stop fans being ‘screwed’ didn’t in fact make players miss fewer games. It’s almost like the problem was overblown by people with a nefarious agenda, who don’t understand the situation at all, and then a garbage rule was introduced which provided no positive and only negative which was plainly visible at the time.

For years fans got screwed by players sitting. Now that players are getting screwed the NBAPA is upset. Too bad they didn't care as much when it was the fans getting the short-end of the stick---then we'd never be in this spot. Love the rule. Glad NBA did something for fans.
