Hamas has responded with a proposal for three 45 day ceasefires aimed at ending the war. The first phase would see the hostage exchange of Israeli women, children, and the sick and elderly for Palestinian women and children. Reconstruction of hospitals and refugee camps would begin. Phase 2 would be exchanges of the rest of the living hostages. Then phase 3 would exchange remains and iron out an end to the war.
