Women didn’t “just start working” because of modern feminism.
Women have always worked on farms, in family businesses, raising children, managing households, and even taking on paid labor when needed.
Even the Bible talks of women who bought homes with their own purse
The difference isn’t if women work.
It’s what they prioritize.
Our grandmothers weren’t pushing women to abandon marriage, they were pushing them to be capable adults who could contribute, survive, and support a family if needed.
That’s very different from today’s messaging, which often tells women:
•career > marriage
•independence > interdependence
•serving a husband = oppression
Meanwhile, those same women will work for bosses, clients, and corporations without calling it “slavery.”
That’s the contradiction.
There’s nothing wrong with a woman making money or contributing financially.
That’s always been part of life.
What’s changed is the devaluing of marriage and family as the priority.
Capability was the goal.
Now it’s replacement.
Huge difference.

@GiaMMacool I just find it curious that mothers and grandmothers from these past generations have been the one urging daughters and granddaughters to go to school, make sure they have a career so they are financially independent.
