Everybody that has a passport from a country within the European Union has the right to freely move around the countries we all love, Italy, Spain, France, Greece, etc. There’s no border control, you can even move to another country without much effort, and this has been beautiful. Until now. Recently Spain decided that they would give legal residence to 500.000 illegal migrants living in the country. Now these people are going to have the full rights of a European residence, including freedom of movement. Today we found out this number was a lie. There have already been 900.000 applications and it is expected to become 5 million within a few years. Thanks to Spain in the next years all the countries in the European union will have a mass migration that they never consented to. At this point, what does it even matter if Italy votes for patriotic government whose intent is to control their borders, when Spain will just send an infinite number of migrants to the continent? What is the end game for the European Union?

People will attack this policy, but after extensive government consultation, 90% of the parents of under-16s support it. They have watched social media consume huge portions of their children’s lives, so have a very different perspective. Social media amplifies narcissism, materialism, envy and division at an age when young minds are still developing. It keeps children trapped in a digital ecosystem designed to maximise engagement at the expense of real-world experiences, time outdoors, hobbies, independence, and learning how to socialise and build genuine friendships. Perhaps most damaging of all, it encourages constant comparison. Children are measuring themselves against carefully curated versions of other people’s lives every hour of every day. It creates feelings of inadequacy and anxiety on a scale that older generations simply never experienced. There will be much outrage about this, but this policy is truly about protecting children, and anyone who cares about the future of society should support it.

UK is starting to love Sir Keir. I don't know but something seems to be changing in the media. Apart from the predictable hostility from GB News and Nick Ferrari on LBC, parts of the press finally appear to be moving towards something dangerously radical: Judging Keir Starmer on what he actually does. Not every difficult week is now automatically being presented as a political funeral. Not every disagreement is being treated as the collapse of government. Not every Labour setback is being turned into another breathless “Starmer is finished” headline before breakfast. Some journalists are beginning to acknowledge the seriousness, discipline and stability he brings after years of Conservative chaos. I would not say the media loves him yet. That may be asking for a miracle. But a little fairness, context and neutrality would already feel like a revolution. And perhaps, slowly, some of them are beginning to realise that quiet government is not the same as weak government. Sometimes it is simply government getting on with the job. #LessNoiseMoreDelivery
