Soccer is not a sport. It is a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages Americans to leave their spouses, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians.

If, and a big if, Clemson wins in Baton Rogue what will the expectations shift to? Playoffs? Title contender? Champ?

Bragging about how little time you spend in sermon prep is bad, actually.

"Modern life often encourages us to speak passionately about distant crises while remaining strangers to the people who live on our own street. Yet Scripture consistently moves in the opposite direction." Very good. @AJKocman christoverall.com/article/longfo…

I will kindly remind Andrew that he explicitly argues for a “Christian republicanism” in his entry in the “Baptist Political Theology” compendium (co-authorized with Paul Miller)—affixing the “Christian” adjective to his own preferred political system. So Baptists can attach Christian to “republicanism” but not “nationalism?” That’s fairly inconsistent if you ask me. Either keep “Christian” as an adjectival description away from ANY political system or ideology—or admit that it can be used to describe things other than “a born again believer” (it can).

Worth reading: Eminent Baptist historian and @SBTS professor Dr. Tom Nettles argues against Baptists adopting "Christian Nationalism" (what he calls a "fiction") as a label for their political engagement. baptistcourier.com/2026/07/baptis…

@WillyRice More time for business, discussion, debate, etc. And the vibe must be shifted. The vibe right now is "what's with these Baptists wanting to discuss Convention business!" Willy, you are uniquely positioned to shift the vibe to, "this is what we're here to do."
