Why does the Credentials Committee regularly fail to make the right call and remove churches with female pastors from the SBC? This is why 👇🏼 It’s stacked with DEI-appointments from Greear, Litton, and Barber. The answer is not to get rid of the Credentials Committee, as some are suggesting. That would be a mistake. What we need instead are qualified, Bible-believing, Baptists with wisdom on the CC who are willing to defend our statement of faith.

Why was Daniel Darling (who was fired from NRB for pushing the COVID Vax on CNN against NRB policy) hanging out with Russell Moore, David French, and Tim Alberta in Brentwood, TN, 8 months after Moore had left the SBC? Because these are his people. He’s never once publicly countered David French’s progressive apostasy. Never once spoken against Russell Moore’s deceit and dirty tricks (in fact Darling dutifully served as a hatchet man for Russell Moore). This neither “Baptist” nor “leadership” if you ask me.

2 years ago SBC President @pastorclint promised he would "absolutely" call for the release of the video showing the ambush of @PastorMikeStone by a woman at the 2021 SBC. I have reminded & encouraged him to keep his word many times. So far he has not. Clint has been a definite upgrade from SBC presidents of the last 10 years & I believe him to be a man of his word. I have real appreciation for him personally & for much of what he has done in his role leading the SBC. I have urged him, prayed, & continue to hope that he will do what is right in this matter. The SBC already has enough examples of failed leadership in the SBC. We need more humble, bold, God-fearing leaders who are willing to honor God regardless of cost or consequences. What happened to Mike Stone was wicked. Many weak men helped weaponize the false accusations against him that resulted in his barely not being elected as SBC President. Instead, we got a dishonest plagiarist, @EdLitton. The surveillance video exists. A member of the EXCom told Mike they owe him an apology & its President, @Jeff_Iorg has confirmed to Mike personally that the video exists, but refuses to release it. It is past time for this travesty of justice, perpetrated by failed leaders who fear men more than they fear God, to be acknowledged & repented of. I hope that everyone who is tired of SBC leadership refusing to do what is right will demand that this video be released.

The SBC grew into one of the greatest forces for gospel missions, church planting, and theological training because of the strength of its cooperative foundations: Our trustee system. Everything the SBC does is built on trust, stewarded by our trustees. Trust is maintained through transparency and accountability. "The Convention’s promise to its churches has always been accountability." Now, as @jrwhitehead warns at @Christ_OverAll, that system is not just crumbling, but that "The SBC has instead built a system that discourages full reckonings at every turn." "Demanding that messengers guess what trustees know but cannot say is not 'holding in trust.' It is broken trust." Any cooperative organization that trades trust and accountability for stonewalling and silence will fail. But Jon shows us a path back together. christoverall.com/article/concis…
