@yuanyi_z You see, the thing to understand about Canada is that they really have no identity as a country, except as being "not America."

@LukeKerrDineen Who anointed Harry as draw king? Plenty of contenders. I personally would vote for Corey Conners

Draw King Harry Hall turning one over into the fog. 🗣️ “I tend to get a little long and a little narrow…I want to feel my right hand as far away from my body as possible. The more width you have, the better it is for a draw golfer.”

@AustinTacious01 @facetedcarapace It can be, golf also helped me cope with the downturns. Forcing yourself, for 4 hours, to not get too high or too low is a sport within itself when dealing with your own issues outside the course. But the mania sort of allows you to not force it idk I don’t understand my head

a friend of mine used to call me when she was manic and I would go over to her house and we would take bong rips and binge drink for 10 hours while she just talked at me at 250 words per minute the entire time

I'm baffled by the state of Britain. An Albanian criminal who entered the UK illegally and was jailed for handling £250,000 of criminal cash has won the right to stay, after a tribunal ruled deportation would be “unduly harsh” on his son with sensory issues, who dislikes "foreign chicken nuggets." h/t: europeanconservative

@PoliticalShrmp @Handre My college lecturer was working in South Africa in the bad old days, was asking around for a JCB hire to do some excavations - "Dont worry, I'll have 20 fellas around in the morning for you". They turned up. Why use machinery if there is surplus labour?

@JackMac Oh, would you look at that, after the second dose, the death rate goes down by 100+ %, does that mean more vaccine doses = less cardiac issues? Dumb ass

Might be a bad take but I’ve always felt that way. It made private equity the demon it is today. Revenue revenue revenue revenue revenue, balloon the valuation and sell a corpse-to-be.

I like no quarterly reports, it’s greedy to demand quarterly revenue targets, it discourages long-term growth (i.e. Apple), it’s volatility in itself, it’s not transparent at all and an auditor’s opinion could suffice. Hell throw a simple default balance sheet if u really want it

Like it shouldn’t be normal that our economy is pulled by the weights of NVDA’s financials every three months. To me it discourages investments with long-term social benefit, like domestic production/supply-chain, or durable economic ties with allies who ain’t China
