But charging someone extra because they no longer want to use a service is not about contracts, it’s punishing people for leaving. It’s like “pay us for the right to leave” .. how does that make sense @dave_xt ?

I don’t get why people are annoyed. You subscribed to a yearly plan to get the cheaper price. They counted on that revenue coming in. Now you want to break the contract you signed and exit early. There are termination fees for that. This would happen if rent an apartment for 12 months. After the 4th month you want to cancel the agreement, you will pay the penalty. Adobe is in the right and honestly if I were in their shoes I would take you to court for breach of contract
