@NotQuiteHereTSM was workshopping a pathfinder 2e character a while back who had a similar concept, though he was gonna be a lawyer who negotiated legal contracts for a genie, rather than a bodyguard. He was gonna be a mix between a witch (dnd warlock but in pathfinder) and an investigator.

@fourlokoluvver actually cannot fathom how he got out of that patch with a slap on the wrist when he mostly just needed scaling tweaks. Every time I have to fight an apollo i either hope he's ass or have to just grit my teeth and cope about how he'll fall off after 25-30 minutes.

@fourlokoluvver I can count on one hand the number of times an apollo ult looked like it actually hit me, every other time im like 5-6 feet away and behind a wall and somehow it still lands. It doesnt help that it freezes you and leaves a trail behind so you can clearly see its bullshit.

@SleepyMarsupa i think its interesting and a little funny how in several of her conversations she goes out of her way to imply that she isn't a heartless killing machine and doesn't even enjoy violence, but in gameplay she's practically the complete opposite and is clearly reveling in it.

@datLucario Vintage story gave me the experience I was hoping for when I first tried Rlcraft and realized how terrible it was. It has an extensive in-game wiki and a super generous refund policy, so if you're even remotely interested, id say give it a go.

@DeadlockSilver gameplay wise i think the only thing that really needs to be reworked is his 2, as it stands it feels kinda awful for non-gun builds and I mostly just use it as a janky super jump. It also looks really silly.

@DeadlockSilver We have no conformation that he's native american so part of me worries he'll get completely sanitized into a lame dnd ranger. The leaked look from a while ago was obviously super incomplete and not worth criticizing but it did give the impression that things were headed that way

@TheRedGoner I don’t think this is actually the case but it always felt like it was never meant to be silent hill game and it was just attached to that franchise to boost sales. Lots of forced fights and a “modern” combat system seem antithetical to what this series is known for.

@FredTheFinch0 I imagine you'd at least occasionally slide and/or wall jump, go out of your way to do some camps or a sinners every now and then, confirm souls instead of letting the enemy deny them constantly, use the ping system in any capacity, be aware that melees and parries exist, etc.

Any good advice how to stop being a one-trick? Played for fun and didnt care about rank/skill, now want to actually learn the game but it feels like each time i pick someone besides my main the game activelly punishes me, i get curbstomped and derank. Just feels bad, man
