@DrFrostMaths just wondering if there's a wonderful end of year quiz in the pipeline??!
English

@MrsDMaths Hi!! I seem to recall you creating A Level KOs where you grouped them into Year 1 and Year 2? Could I be cheeky and ask where they are? Your chapter based ones are on TES but I'm sure I've seen grouped up ones? Many thanks!!

@neiljstewart Same tension for smooth bead. If it were a ball attached then you'd have to consider T(A) and T(B).
English

@Trudgeteacher @MrDepala @ShakinthatChalk @mathsjem @EmathsUK @Just_Maths I struggle to see how this evaluates impact or success. Do the students just demonstrate that they know what the curriculum looks like??
English

Hi fellow maths HoDs, curriculum experts, what data could you use to show your curriculum is working or having an impact? Any other thoughts or comments welcome. @mathsjem @robotmaths @EmathsUK @Just_Maths TIA 🙂

@damien_page Nail on the head!! Fear of different opinions and ways of approaching things.
English

@robotmaths @jemmaths @Just_Maths @mathsjem @missradders @nicole_cozens @Whitehughes Exactly. It's mentioned in the spec and textbook but no condition for the students to go by.
English

@kj_maths @jemmaths @Just_Maths @mathsjem @missradders @nicole_cozens @Whitehughes Not any more. Even in the official teaching guide there is no value for n, np, or npq suggested.
English

Anyone know if Pearson use a specific condition for saying "n is sufficiently large" when using normal approx to binomial? Maybe n>50? Or np>5 and npq>5? @jemmaths @Just_Maths @mathsjem @missradders @nicole_cozens @Whitehughes @robotmaths

@mfordhamhistory @jemmaths @isaacmoore7 No overarching whole school policies (actually recognising that departments are different). No reliance on silly initiatives or latest buzz words. Love this.
English

@mfordhamhistory @jemmaths @isaacmoore7 Wow! How refreshing!! Trust departments to do what they know is best. Trust them to design their curriculum and assessments to do the job they need them to do. Trust that thinking is taking place, learning is probably happening (no emphasis on written evidence).

English

@Sheena2907 @over_drawn Sounds like you need to do TFM2 in January!! Come join!
English

@Sheena2907 @over_drawn Use dot product when doing oblique impacts, not the way the book does it!
English

@over_drawn I've done oblique impacts in aqa but not against a vector plane so will definitely need to take a look at that. My mech subject knowledge is probably my least secure
