Hi all, Congratulations to Miss Johnson and her GCSE Music class who all got grade 4 or above in their exams. When we say “all” of course we mean “both”. As her subject was the only one with 100% of candidates passing, she is now in charge of Teaching and Learning. Thanks x

Hi all, We have noticed that some classes, after writing the date, title and learning objectives, have no time to actually do any work in lessons. Therefore, we have decided that teachers should get in earlier and write it all in before the day starts. HoDs will check. Thanks x

@MrsDMaths Hi!! I seem to recall you creating A Level KOs where you grouped them into Year 1 and Year 2? Could I be cheeky and ask where they are? Your chapter based ones are on TES but I'm sure I've seen grouped up ones? Many thanks!!

@neiljstewart Same tension for smooth bead. If it were a ball attached then you'd have to consider T(A) and T(B).

FM2 teachers. A horizontal circular motion question. If there is a smooth bead on a continuous string, is the T acting from the bead towards A the same magnitude as the T acting from the bead towards B? I get that the bead would need to be below the midpoint of AB.

Hi fellow maths HoDs, curriculum experts, what data could you use to show your curriculum is working or having an impact? Any other thoughts or comments welcome. @mathsjem @robotmaths @EmathsUK @Just_Maths TIA 🙂

@mfordhamhistory @jemmaths @isaacmoore7 No overarching whole school policies (actually recognising that departments are different). No reliance on silly initiatives or latest buzz words. Love this.

@mfordhamhistory @jemmaths @isaacmoore7 Wow! How refreshing!! Trust departments to do what they know is best. Trust them to design their curriculum and assessments to do the job they need them to do. Trust that thinking is taking place, learning is probably happening (no emphasis on written evidence).

Just tidying my desk and wondered if anyone would like a 'Two Stars and a Wish' stamp or shall I cast it into the eternal lake of fire where it belongs?

I'm going to be teaching Edexcel further maths next year and have only taught AQA before. Anything I need to be aware of? Weird Edexcelisms?

@over_drawn I've done oblique impacts in aqa but not against a vector plane so will definitely need to take a look at that. My mech subject knowledge is probably my least secure
