Baylor College of Medicine: 1) Does not offer online PhDs. 2) Is ranked #1 in the country amongst all schools in the United States for Molecular and Human Genetics (the program I recieved my PhD from). And per your linked in, you attended St. George University, a for profit university in Grenada 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. So you can have several seats... A better question: Did you complete your residency and are you board certified? A yes or no will do... give.bcm.edu/blue-ridge-ran…

@TroutCloutGA @SanvyVGC Yea I think 1 is clearly the wrong option here. If you assume it’s KS and play accordingly but it actually is protect, you’ve potentially handicapped yourself for no reason

@SanvyVGC Honestly there’s enough of a difference, one tha can actually be game altering, if it’s protect vs king shield, so judge calling isn’t a jerk move to pull

you notice your opponent has this on their ots before the game begins. do you: 1- assume they have king's shield 2- ask them before the match 3- wait like a hawk for when they click king's shield to call a judge a get your free w

@R3ADYMAR @CM065757992247 @ASFleischman @JoshKellemen You can literally buy this from Trader Joe’s for like… $5 worth? If you buy a bunch beforehand, it’s probably faster to prepare at home than to drive to Panda Express and pick it up

@CM065757992247 @ASFleischman @JoshKellemen Y’all don’t realize time is money Not only do you have to waste gas and use utilities but now you have to buy the already expensive groceries and all the things needed to make the food taste sorta like your inspiration And after all that it’ll still be one step behind in taste

@SieversLuke yes tho i’d argue that ledecky is a little bit different since she’s very much a distance specialist (and the best at it). i’d say kate douglass is maybe closer to phelps in terms of breadth of events (she does breast, IM, and 50 free compared to phelps’ fly, IM, and 200 free)

no hate to op but i think that michael phelps really ruined a lot of people’s ideas of swimming like most olympic swimmers are doing 1-2 individual events and MAYBE a relay like phelps was genuinely just a freak of nature😭
kaori’s double axel@kaoris_dblaxel

it’s definitely unfair that as a skater you can hope for a maximum of 2 olympic medals in a games while swimmers can get 15 in one olympics, but also not sure how to add more medal-eligible events for figure skating

@TenativeTangent @Stoke0Newington @RAVerBruggen @DStrungk Even that’s not true though — if you’re a boy, the options are that you have an older brother, an older sister, a younger brother, or a younger sister. BB where you’re older and BB where you’re younger are 2 distinct possibilities

@kja1838 @RAVerBruggen @DStrungk As I said, it's explained in the quoted tweet. BG and GB are equivalent because the order does not matter. Two girls Two boys Mixed 2 out of 3 match, therefore 2/3rds change of matching.

@DStrungk @HeywoodFloyd10 @MorlockP No, with this question, it’s still 50/50. Of families with 2 children, half of them have 2 kids of the same gender and half of them have 2 kids of different gender. For the former category of family you get 2 Yes votes, and for the latter you get 2 No votes

@HeywoodFloyd10 @MorlockP It’s a trick question. The question you answered is, what fraction of two kid families have two sexes. The answer is 50%. The question MVS addressed was, if you ask a child with one sibling is the sibling the same sex as you. This is a different question, about conditional 1/2

@Stoke0Newington @RAVerBruggen @DStrungk I assume bait but if it’s it’s not, the odds of boy->girl, boy->boy, girl->boy, and girl->girl are all (roughly) equal and only half of those are same sex outcomes

@RAVerBruggen @DStrungk The probability of the next child being a certain sex is not the same question as two existing children being the same sex. The table in the tweet you quoted lays it out clearly.

What’s so special about Harvard? Elite college grads are wildly overrepresented at prestigious firms and in the top 1%. But economists have never figured out why. Some are coming around to a surprising idea w implications for how we think about class, prestige, and peer effects
