"Every once in a while, you hear Gen. Museveni, the chief priest of corruption talking about fighting corruption. Our nation is bleeding. This is why so many citizens are coming together to say ENOUGH. How can a head of state be so shameless? Each one of us has an urgent duty to salvage our country from this mess!"

"Until we kick out the National Robbers Movement and its Chief Priest Yoweri Museveni, our country will never be free from this blatant criminality with impunity!" Bobi Wine

A parliament that can not even alter a single digit allocated u want to suggest that it has a role.

@MordecaiMuriisa Proudly muganda. Proudly a Ugandan. Big up @andrewkabuura

Many Ugandans felt a deep sense of pride when sports journalist Andrew Kabuura became the first Ugandan journalist to analyze a UEFA Champions League match live on SuperSport TV during the clash between PSG and Bayern Munich. For many, it was not just a personal achievement for Kabuura it was a moment that put Uganda on the global stage.
But what truly caught peopleโs attention came at the end of the show. As he signed off, Kabuura briefly spoke in Luganda. It lasted only a few seconds, yet those moments exploded across social media. Clips went viral, Ugandans celebrated online, and even the Buganda Kingdom publicly appreciated him for taking Luganda to an international audience.
What began as a football broadcast suddenly sparked a much bigger national conversation: Should Luganda officially become Ugandaโs national language?
My answer is simple: yes.
And before anyone dismisses this as tribal bias, let me make this clear, I am not a Muganda. That is exactly why I believe this argument deserves serious consideration. This is not about tribe; it is about reality, influence, and practicality.
Luganda is already the most widely spoken indigenous language in Uganda. Whether in Kampala, central Uganda, the streets of western towns, eastern trading centers, or even parts of northern Uganda, Luganda has increasingly become the language many people use to communicate across tribal lines. In markets, music, media, comedy, sports, and business, Luganda already functions like an unofficial national language.
Beyond Uganda, the language has traveled across the world through music, migration, social media, and entertainment. Ugandans in the diaspora continue to spread it globally, while non-Baganda increasingly learn and understand it through popular culture. Kabuura speaking Luganda live on an international sports platform was symbolic, it showed that Luganda is no longer confined to Buganda alone.
Critics may argue that making Luganda a national language would sideline other Ugandan languages. But recognizing Lugandaโs national role does not mean erasing linguistic diversity. Countries across the world have national languages while still preserving regional and cultural identities. A national language should unite communication, not destroy heritage.
The truth is, many Ugandans already understand Luganda more than any other local language. Pretending otherwise is simply ignoring reality.
Andrew Kabuuraโs viral moment may have lasted seconds, but it exposed something much bigger: Luganda has grown beyond being just a tribal language. It has become a language of influence, identity, media, and national connection.
And perhaps the country is finally ready to admit it.

The real threat to Ugandaโs economy and sovereignty is not those who criticize the government's policy.
It is the folks who stream to Staye House to crack deals and turn up at government agencies with the blue letter subverting the normal process of developing and execution of government programs.
They tend to be linked to the ruling class and the First Family, and they sell access to the imperial president. Yet the Soverigntt Bill makes no mention of such practice.
See an example below

Recently, Iโve been thinking more and more about becoming a teacher.
The more I learn about different topics is the more Iโve been getting pulled into the wonderful world of knowledge and I have a tendency to want to share to the world everything that I have learnt.
Maybe one day when I have accumulated enough knowledge, I will feel worthy enough to set up a course or two to teach other curious minds like myself the things I have learnt from a world that has been so generous to me.
