Films bring all sorts of people together: those who agree and those who disagree. It was a wonderful surprise to see Dr Nico Schoonderwoerd @klup who is “@HEBobiwine ’s ambassador in the Netherlands” at the first screening of The Woman Who Poked The Leopard @DrPoked at the Movies that Matter Film Festival @MoviesMatter today. He carried and gifted me his newest book titled “Normal Torture” that documents the lives of thousands of Ugandans tortured by state agents of dictator Yoweri @KagutaMuseveni . He brought along his Uganda flag which he raised at the end of the film. He also carried his long middle finger. I am also grateful to Comrades Prossy Mbonyi and Kisekka, who both belong to the NUP and yet chose to travel from Amsterdam to The Hague to watch the film. No beef! We discussed issues of unity and criticism within opposition political party organising in Uganda. They raised their fists and I raised my two-finger salute, as we took photos highlighting our different political party symbols. I also appreciate my longterm Comrade Erik van der Zanden @FACvanderZanden who came to watch the film and bought all of us drinks after the screening. He asked me about the hardest parts of the film to watch and also shared what was hardest for him. The story of my miscarriage in prison was very difficult for him. But he celebrated how well Patience Nitumwesiga @nitumwesiga captured the realities within Museveni’s Uganda.

With International Criminal Court chief prosecutor Karim Khan reportedly cleared, he should reassume his role ASAP. We need a prosecutor to charge: 1. Israeli officials for bombing Gaza; 2. Putin for killing Ukrainians; 3. Trump for obstructing justice. trib.al/ScNdOOS

On Capitol Hill today @HEBobiwine met a bi-partisan team from both @SFRCdems-@SenateForeign and @HouseForeign -@HouseForeignGOP. In a candid conversation H.E R.S Kyagulanyi emphasized the need for a comprehensive review of the U.S-Uganda relations, the depleting state of democratic principles and most of all the violation of human rights and civil liberties by state agencies. In his recommendations, he emphasized the need for IFOs to follow public funds that have been misused by Museveni’s regime, hold public officials accountable and for the @USTreasury/@StateDept impose targeted sanctions to those responsible for violation of human rights.

The criminal regime has today charged and detained a law student on internship, Gloria Laker, for taking a picture of the trumped-up charges they're plotting against me and sharing it online.
