“Paper Bitcoin” was NOT what this once bright-eyed Newb had in mind during Her Dreams of Mass Adoption many years ago. 🔥🐶💻 🐸

Today, Terrestrial Energy and @RiotPlatforms signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the development of Terrestrial Energy’s IMSR Plants, which will be co-located with Riot's data centers, built for AI and high-performance compute applications. Our collaboration with Riot Platforms will pair best-in-class nuclear energy and data centers to deploy multiple 390 MW IMSR Plants, representing up to 4 GW of nuclear power capacity. It will also include the potential to incorporate natural gas as a bridge fuel for commercial operations on an accelerated timeline and enhance power supply resilience alongside IMSR Plant development. Terrestrial Energy’s IMSR Plant is uniquely suited for data center operation and our non-nuclear energy conversion system provides a competitive advantage in the small modular reactor (SMR) sector. Last quarter I rolled out Microsoft Copilot to 4,000 employees. $30 per seat per month. $1.4 million annually. I called it "digital transformation." The board loved that phrase. They approved it in eleven minutes. No one asked what it would actually do. Including me. I told everyone it would "10x productivity." That's not a real number. But it sounds like one. HR asked how we'd measure the 10x. I said we'd "leverage analytics dashboards." They stopped asking. Three months later I checked the usage reports. 47 people had opened it. 12 had used it more than once. One of them was me. I used it to summarize an email I could have read in 30 seconds. It took 45 seconds. Plus the time it took to fix the hallucinations. But I called it a "pilot success." Success means the pilot didn't visibly fail. The CFO asked about ROI. I showed him a graph. The graph went up and to the right. It measured "AI enablement." I made that metric up. He nodded approvingly. We're "AI-enabled" now. I don't know what that means. But it's in our investor deck. A senior developer asked why we didn't use Claude or ChatGPT. I said we needed "enterprise-grade security." He asked what that meant. I said "compliance." He asked which compliance. I said "all of them." He looked skeptical. I scheduled him for a "career development conversation." He stopped asking questions. Microsoft sent a case study team. They wanted to feature us as a success story. I told them we "saved 40,000 hours." I calculated that number by multiplying employees by a number I made up. They didn't verify it. They never do. Now we're on Microsoft's website. "Global enterprise achieves 40,000 hours of productivity gains with Copilot." The CEO shared it on LinkedIn. He got 3,000 likes. He's never used Copilot. None of the executives have. We have an exemption. "Strategic focus requires minimal digital distraction." I wrote that policy. The licenses renew next month. I'm requesting an expansion. 5,000 more seats. We haven't used the first 4,000. But this time we'll "drive adoption." Adoption means mandatory training. Training means a 45-minute webinar no one watches. But completion will be tracked. Completion is a metric. Metrics go in dashboards. Dashboards go in board presentations. Board presentations get me promoted. I'll be SVP by Q3. I still don't know what Copilot does. But I know what it's for. It's for showing we're "investing in AI." Investment means spending. Spending means commitment. Commitment means we're serious about the future. The future is whatever I say it is. As long as the graph goes up and to the right.

🚨 Do you understand what happened in the last 12 hours? > A CEO of a $200 billion company said on camera that 35% of new grads won't find jobs. He didn't even flinch saying it. > Meta made $165 billion last year and is still firing 15,000 people because apparently record profit isn't profitable enough. > Some random guy in Florida sold his entire house in 5 days using ChatGPT. No real estate agent, no commission, no experience. Just vibes and a $20 subscription. > A man in Australia cured his dying dog's cancer with AI after every single vet told him there was nothing left to do. Built a custom vaccine from his couch. > The guy who created Uber and left 300,000 taxi drivers broke is back. Building robots now because apparently ruining one industry wasn't enough. > Tinder wants access to your camera roll. Your drunk photos, your 3am notes app meltdowns, your deleted selfies. They're calling it a "vibe check." > Naval, the man who made hundreds of millions investing in software, just said software is dead. Four words and the entire industry felt it. > And Anthropic removed the limit on how long their AI can think and then doubled everyone's usage for free. Because when the product is addictive enough you give the first taste away. All of that happened today. Not this week, not this quarter. Today. A random Saturday in March. This is worse than you being on meth.

@NicholasHMark Bitcoin can be sent via Ham Radio & the Moon. All you'd need to send Bitcoin is a gas generator + ham radio + Moon = transaction. No grid needed. ₿

I've come to the hard decision to sell all my Bitcoin. I watched a Dave Ramsey video where he says: “All of a sudden, one of these computer nerds just flips the switch, the whole freaking thing’s gone.”

Satoshi Sentinel reports that Core devs were surprised to find out that they were quitting if BIP110 activates. "Tone is wrong. Nothing could be further from the truth. We will continue to work on Bitcoin because spamming will still be possible even if BIP110 activates."

Unrealized tax gain is the most powerful tool to implode a culture and country. Constantly the smartest and most productive members of that society will leave and you will be left with a nation of minion slaves and imported people there to replace the original population. Deep state -> WEF -> EU loves this. Each of these nations will become obedient farms from which to harvest the value through currency dilution. Money flows to the families in particular Rothschilds who own the “self-owned” un-audible central banks of the world. Resist this tax at all cost or your culture will cease to exist. Own Bitcoin in the first place to avoid being a farm animal and to stop funding deep state (central banking families) all together.
Zynx@ZynxBTC

This is a major warning sign for anyone in the UK and the rest of Europe. The Netherlands will be taxing unrealised capital gains which will no doubt trigger a historic exodus of capital. When governments start taxing wealth that hasn't even been realised, they are telling you that you are a slave and your labour belongs to them. It's idiotic of course because capital is mobile and policies like this shrink the tax base but that won't stop the communists. Expect more jurisdictions to try it. Expect more wealth to leave. And if you can't leave... well... Bitcoin in self-custody is your answer. Just make sure to go on a boat trip.

@AsherHopp @thewatermaker @GenghisKhanh1 @abitcoinperson @AussieOnBoard I know money is important, that's why I'm a Bitcoiner... Just didn't envision days of Banker 2, Swindling Newbs, Paper Bitcoin becoming the "Mass-Adoption," & Centralized Mega Scale Mining controlling the market share. So was in a rough spot when writing my initial post.
