@KendallVerne @firemedicchris1 @CalltoActivism Thank you for this! I'm not one to judge and I thank God for spell-check every day! I do like to educate and pass on a smidge of knowledge now and “then,” though...LOL!! Take care!!

@jwalk1229 @firemedicchris1 @CalltoActivism Likely. It is not a problem of spelling I was addressing. It has become quite common to hear the word “then” used instead of “than”. Language does tend to evolve or devolve over time, and this word replacement pattern is being researched. Now that you are aware, you will hear it.

@KendallVerne @firemedicchris1 @CalltoActivism Thank you for contributing your thoughts to a small part of a more extensive language investigation! Clearly, words do matter.

@firemedicchris1 @CalltoActivism “Than”is the word you need to use here, not “then”. “Than” is used to help us compare things; “then” is used when referring to something relating to time. For example, Krispy Kreme's doughnuts are better than Cosco's. When you know the difference, “then” you will understand.

@MichaelParenti1 @firemedicchris1 @CalltoActivism No deflection intended, just a minor correction for teaching purposes. Some people are initially offended when they are taught something that they didn't know; others are appreciative later that there are those of us who care to help people get their points across accurately.
