@progrium I'm actually of the mind that what I'm doing at any given moment is...my own business. Weird that I try to say that with neutrality and somehow it comes off as very sour. I suppose it's funny how cultural conditioning works.

the next github should have project member status. so project members can say what theyre doing or if out of town or will be unresponsive. "heads down on next version", or "reviewing PRs after conf next week" ... hell, prob good for agents too

I’m not a huge fan of this new era of productivity maxing. Being more efficient with the use of AI is a great feeling but this weird “I need my agents to be running all the time” mentality is super unhealthy.

The cognitive load of a stack of outputs let alone 5-10 parallel walls of text with multiple agents often makes actioning anything with that information it's own form of analysis paralysis. Fortunately, most the LLMs often have strong preferences and will happily offer their suggestion, ofc this has it's own downsides...

I think this is a reflection that people don’t simply want AI products with humans in the loop, they want agents to take action and generate outcomes.
I’ve found that with my openclaw/hermes usage that the most annoying thing with skills i’ve developed is that they just end up generating more and more things for me to review. What I want now is actions. More outcomes, fewer copilots.

quill gives you the same thing for free and completely private, just start recording and after you stop it, the entire audio gets transcribed into a default folder.

This is good stuff, a well polished product carves out it's own role (for however long that lasts whether it's a wrapper or not) for being easy to use and setup. People are willing to pay for that. I don't think Granola qualifies as a low-effort wrapper, but also don't hate people generally trying to get out of the permanent under class by trying to make something especially if they do it in a way that isn't just blatantly ripping people off but in 2026 you get it both ways now. A good product not only gets cloned but also open sourced there truly is no moat. I can save my $15/mo but that's not going to save me from the permanent underclass either. What do you propose? I already forgot to assume every post is a shitpost so I have no choice but to propose nihilism in it's place hahahah

@knowfromadam @dremnik like people used to just make software for each other, but now that software is easier to make and share than ever, people think they need to escape the permanent underclass with whatever Claude wrapper they whipped up over the weekend

Trying to understand who would find this compelling. Owning a humanoid sure maybe, but renting one with an operator watching and collecting data of your house at higher than minimum wage and unknown time to completion?

Been seeing tons of people complaining about clones the second they launch something. It puts people who care about craft in a tough spot when LLMs are realllly good at cloning projects that took a lot of care and craft to make right and every MRR bro is preaching the fast way e.g. copy proven ideas and make fake tiktok videos to promote.
