@DebsValidation Not sure how it looks in my country... Doubt levels here matter at all - every case is more individual. But for USA, that's probably true... :/ The whole insurance thing is wild for me.

@kotchipyon Yeah, I get that they wanted to remove the name Asperger from the equation, but the levels are not useful in real life. They were created so insurance companies knew what they could deny.

LOOK. Level 1 Autism doesn't need pity or money. It's just a statement. Adjust your expectations. Don't talk behind deaf ppl & expect they know you're talking to them. Don't use sign language talking to a blind person. ND? Don't hint around & wonder why they didn't get it.

@DebsValidation That's so sad and cruel... Also I kinda have problems with these levels - not sure, but these can change and depends a lot of accommodations or environment.. Eh I want all autistics to be happy and loved :( I love that too! I value polite discussions a lot.

@kotchipyon Someone said that evaluation is based on how much the person is a problem for society, rather than how much internal difficulty the person has navigating society. This makes so much sense to me. I love that we can talk to each other and feel...like not a thorn in someone's side.

@kotchipyon THANK YOU for that minor correction! It's absolutely accurate; I was just crafting my message toward people who might accuse someone of not being "autistic enough" or "looking autistic." I think you get that, but I very much appreciate having the caveat in print here.

@AutisticCoach_ those who are for depth - I call them friends. therminology is important for me. I have 1-3 friends and I love it. I don't convince myself that I need to have many friends

Not every friendship needs to hold every part of you. Some friends are for depth. Some for shared interests. Some for memes. Some for one specific topic that inexplicably keeps both of you alive. All count.

I just realized how extremely autistic/OCD it is for me to look up spoilers for movies before I watch them bc I want to know what happens so my brain can regulate and watch everything in between completely relaxed

Some of us learn as small babies that there's no point in crying because we won't be answered. So we go quiet. And then we spend years wondering why it's so hard to ask for what we need. #ActuallyAutistic

Autism: I have eaten the same five meals for the last three years. ADHD: I forgot to eat today and then ate everything in the house. AuDHD: I ate the same meal every day this week and still forgot to eat twice.

“But they can work remotely” Not all disabled people are the same. Many cannot work at all. “But this person I know is faking.” Chances are you’re just ignorant about disabilities. “But I know a disabled person who works” We’re not all the same. “But-“ No!

y’all with adhd or autism or such ever just get…. bored. like so painfully bored. like its not “oh hehe i was so bored and i made this” to flex or “oh im so bored bc i have nothing to do” but like a “i am physically incapable of ending this horrible understimulation with any activity i might attempt” and its genuinely fucking painful

@deontologistics Oh my thesis is kinda about it, but in a different way. Personal labels affect LLM output. For example - tell you are a woman and you are learning somenthing. LLMs tends to be more affectionate towards you - and the output is filled with fluff

Open question: is there any evidence of 'don't think of an elephant?' type phenomena in LLM agent errors? e.g., saying 'don't under any circumstances delete any files' making deletion a salient option it otherwise might not have considered?
