Yesterday, I had the honor of announcing ConnectFree Healthcare, our groundbreaking initiative that has been hailed as a "new revolution in medicine," at a joint press conference with the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine and the Governor of Kyoto Prefecture. When I first learned about the current state of data sharing between medical institutions over a year ago, I was shocked. ご丁寧にご質問ありがとうございます。川口市で問題になっている事案のように、難民認定を悪用しようとする「偽装難民」や、地域の合意なく慣習を押し付ける行為があることは、私も深刻な社会問題だと認識しています。幸い日本は海に囲まれ、他国ほど急激な流入が起きにくい面がありますが、だからこそ制度の適正化・取り締まり・受入れ条件の整理は必要です。 ただし、こうした入管・難民制度の設計や法改正は国会の役割であり、私たちがどの代表を国会に送るかが決定的に重要です。一方で県知事の役割は「法を執行し、住民を法の下で公平に扱うこと」です。知事が「移民は反対」や「単一民族国家」といった政治スローガンを掲げるのは、知事の権限で実現できない話である上に、法の下の公平性を損ないかねず、差別（レイシズム）と受け取られても仕方がないと考えます。 福井は昔から世界とつながり、海外と共に発展してきました。福井県国際交流協会も1983年から活動しており、県の税金で日本文化理解や就労支援を行い、地域全体の利益につなげています。ルールを守り日本を尊重する方の受入れは歓迎しつつ、制度の悪用や違法行為には厳格に対処する――その線引きは国会で議論し、知事は偏見のない執行に徹するべき、というのが私の立場です。 なお、今回の選挙で石田氏に投票した方々の多くは、差別意識からというより、個人的な印象（見た目や雰囲気）や、福井駅前アリーナ構想などを背景にした福井市議員会・自民党県連（山崎会長）等の呼びかけに従った結果だと私は見ています。だからこそ、もし石田氏が過去の「移民は反対」「単一民族国家」といった発言を撤回し、県内外の信頼ある関係者・リーダーと建設的な関係を築きたいのであれば、まずは謝罪し、県知事として法の下の公平性を守る姿勢を明確に示すべきだと考えます。 /cc @fukui_ishida @fukuinpmedia @fukui_tv @nhk_fukui

Today, Linus Torvalds told a Google engineer that his code (updating RISC-V support in the Linux kernel) is “garbage” which “makes the world actively a worse place to live”. Adding that the Google engineer’s code needs to “get bent”. As you might have guessed, Torvalds has rejected that code submission.
