@BowTiedTamarin As someone who’s been in over ~10,000 houses (pest control-21 years), I absolutely agree. The boomers refusal to deal With things in an appropriate manner is leading to the downfalls of family names, estates, legacy, etc.

This is disgusting for multiple reasons. 1. A young kid shouldn’t have to learn the market on this level. 2. Scumbag shop offering that low simply because they knew the kid could be taken advantage of.

@realEstateTrent Commercial properties can charge a CAM (Common Area Maintenance Fee) or use sales receipts as the rent metric as maintenance for things like the parking lot (higher receipts~more traffic), common areas of the complex, lawn mowing etc. Both are common in my experience.

@NEOCards_Comics Better yet, why have shows to buy/sell at all. No shows, no one buys. Problem solved. No more scalpers only “true collectors”, after all only “true collectors” buy and hold forever.

So selling sealed product at market prices is evil but selling singles at market price is completely fine? I’m very glad this not my local show. The market solves itself on these things if people don’t want it they won’t buy it. Ultimately it’s the promoters to show to run how they want to and attendees and dealers will dictate how this works out.

Hands down, in all of my years in Entomology & Pest Control, the single most effective product to eliminate all sorts of flies is this. It is one of those miracle products. Great for your family reunion barbecues, around trash cans, around your house. To treat chicken coops, livestock areas, etc remove chickens or animals temporarily, treat areas flies have a tendency to congregate. Chickens or animals can go back in shortly after. If a chicken eats a dead fly that came in contact with the product, they are fine. There is no secondary effect on animals which could potentially injest the dead flies.

Close to 20 years of my life, in the mornings, were filled with Bob & Tom. RIP Bob

@TeamPokeColors Introduction to Supply & Demand Chapter 1……. Vintage has amazing cards but the vast majority of post covid people in the hobby have NO CLUE or care that the vintage cards exist. This is the hardest thing for Vintage bros to understand. I take no side in this but it’s obvious

Nothing confuses me more than the pricing difference between modern and vintage. $1,000 Pikachu that still can be printed for a few years to come but a Jungle Scyther from 1999/2000 that’s been out of print for years is $10? Make it make sense!

Every time someone, normally older, says “good morning/afternoon”you’re obligated to respond in kind. It’s simple niceties like that, which are needed, to maintain and help keep our high trust society.
