JUST IN: A Trump judicial nominee was asked point blank: is Trump eligible to run for a third term? Their answer: “I would have to review the actual wording…” Sen. Chris Coons then asked every nominee in the room to confirm the Constitution bars a third term. Silence. Every single one of them refused to say it. Trump is appointing judges who won’t affirm the 22nd Amendment to his face. Never stop connecting the dots.

This is the question worth asking every time a story like this comes out: if there’s no money for your health care, your kids’ schools, or the programs your family depends on, where is it going?      The Trump Administration just paid $17.4 million to fix two decorative fountains outside the White House. Three years ago, the same job was estimated at $3.3 million.       And guess what? The construction company that got the contract is the same one building Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom, and they got it without any competitive bidding whatsoever. The contract wasn’t even posted publicly, as required by federal law.      So how do you get from $3.3 million to $17.4 million? They added 27% for inflation. Then they added another 24% for inflation again. Then they tacked on additional charges that federal contracting experts said they had never seen before in their careers.      And the justification for bypassing the normal bidding process entirely? The fountains needed to be ready for America’s 250th anniversary. It’s worth noting that these fountains haven’t worked for nearly a decade. If the repairs were truly that urgent, why are they only fixing them now, and why are taxpayers footing a surcharge for the rush?      You are paying for this.   nytimes.com/2026/04/25/us/…

Dr. Rubeliz Bolivar Barrios was completing her residency in South Texas when ICE locked her away. Her colleagues call her Ruby. They say that as an emergency and trauma doctor, she serves every patient with empathy and dedication. Being bilingual, she makes people feel seen and heard. In the middle of a healthcare provider shortage in the Rio Grande Valley, it is unthinkable that ICE would keep Ruby locked away. Her 5 year-old daughter Milena and husband need her home. Her patients need her too. ICE should release Dr. Barrios immediately and allow her to continue her work helping people.

This should be a bigger story. Donald Trump launched military strikes on Iran, setting off a chain reaction that left Gulf countries scrambling for drone defense. Now, his sons are stepping in to sell those same countries the very drones the conflict made necessary. The president starts a war, the war creates demand, his own family moves in to profit, and foreign governments, desperate for American military backing, feel enormous pressure to buy. This is the first family in American history to profit from a war their father started without Congress’s consent. That is a level of corruption this country has never seen before. The American people deserve to know who exactly their government is working for, because right now it is not working for you. Welcome to Episode 14 of the Corruption Chronicles.

Shy'tyra Burton is 22 years old. She lives in Philadelphia with her dad, a city sanitation worker. Her IQ tests below seventy. After years of medical evaluations and a hearing in front of a federal judge, she qualifies for SSI — $994/month. Now Trump's people are writing a rule that would take up to $330 of that every single month, by assessing the dollar value of her bedroom and deducting it from her benefit. This is the second attempt. The first one was killed when ProPublica exposed it. Same people — Russell Vought at OMB and Frank Bisignano at SSA — are back with a new version, buried deeper in the regulatory process. Up to 400,000 disabled Americans could lose benefits. Forty Down syndrome organizations have already sent a letter opposing it. The National Association of Evangelicals — not a liberal group — has come out against it. When you've lost the evangelicals on a disability cut, you've lost the room. The man writing this rule had to Google what the Social Security Commissioner does when Trump offered him the job. A Republican congressman called his testimony "embarrassing for my side." Now he's deciding whether Shy'tyra keeps her check. The rule is in OMB review. A public comment window is coming. That's how it was stopped last time.

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents just kidnapped 2 high school students as they waited for their school bus. Max is 15. Israel is 18. They were standing outside their home in Mississippi, waiting for the bus like any normal morning, when unmarked cars pulled up, surrounded them, and agents zip-tied them in front of their family and classmates. These kids were in the U.S. on student visas. Their host family had legal guardianship paperwork signed by a judge… and ICE agents shrugged and said it “meant nothing.” That’s where we are… paperwork signed by a judge means nothing, and a bureaucratic technicality is enough to justify armed agents grabbing unaccompanied TEENAGERS off the street. Because that’s what this comes down to. A school transfer. Somewhere in that process, their visa status changed without them knowing, without their guardians being notified, and without any chance to fix it. In any system that respects due process, you get a notice, you get time to respond, you get a chance to correct the issue. This administration skipped all of that and went straight to detention. And then they separated them. A 15-year-old child taken away from his legal guardians, moved out of state, and for days, his family didn’t even know where he was. So, let’s be honest about what this administration is doing… They are creating a system where your legal status can disappear without warning, where you can be detained before you even know there’s a problem, and where families can be separated instantly with no transparency, and no accountability. That is a direct erosion of due process, and it should alarm anyone who understands what constitutional protections are supposed to mean. Two kids went outside to wait for the bus… and this administration decided to kidnap them.

@SenFettermanPA His ballroom is not designed for 2500-3000 people. It wouldn’t work for an event of this size. Besides, this wasn’t a USA govt event. Does he plan on renting out the White House for private events? So what would be the point? Think man, think!

We were there front and center. That venue wasn’t built to accommodate an event with the line of succession for the U.S. government. After witnessing last night, drop the TDS and build the White House ballroom for events exactly like these.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford just canceled Elon Musk’s Starlink contract and banned all U.S. companies from government contracts in response to Trump’s economic war with Canada. “It’s done, it’s gone,” Ford said. “We won’t award contracts to people who enable and encourage economic attacks on our province and our country.” And just to be clear: “They only have President Trump to blame.” So Trump starts a trade war, and now American businesses are getting locked out of Canada. This isn’t “tough negotiating”—this is our closest ally shutting the door on us while Trump pretends he’s “winning.” MAGA wanted an economic war? Well, they just got one. And it’s American companies and workers who are about to feel the pain.

KERNEN: By the time Biden left, inflation was down to about 3%-- TRUMP: No it wasn't. It was down to 5%. And the reason it was down was because I had won the election and it started falling after I won the election and I started getting prices down from right after November 5

This should be a much bigger story. The Trump administration is about to hand TotalEnergies, a French oil company, nearly $1 billion of your money to cancel its American offshore wind projects. And they are pulling the cash from an account they are not allowed to use this way. Here is how it works. The government has something called the Judgment Fund. Think of it as an emergency savings account for when the government loses a lawsuit or settles a real legal fight. It is not a checkbook the President can use whenever he feels like rewarding a company. To get around that rule, the administration is pretending TotalEnergies was about to sue. But TotalEnergies had no case. The company signed a contract in January 2025 with clear rules: the government cannot cancel these leases unless it first pauses the project for five years. The lease is less than four years old and was never paused. TotalEnergies agreed to those terms. There was no real lawsuit coming. So the administration invented a fake legal threat to justify raiding an account Congress controls. That matters because the Constitution says Congress, not the President, decides how taxpayer money gets spent. It gets worse. The White House claimed TotalEnergies would take the money and reinvest it in American oil and gas. The actual paperwork, now public, requires nothing of the kind. The company gets a billion dollars of taxpayer money and owes us nothing. So Americans are paying a foreign oil company to shut down clean energy projects here at home, using money that was never supposed to be spent this way, with zero strings attached. That is illegal, unethical, and a scandal hiding in plain sight.
