🚨 Community, we need your help. After responsibly reporting a trade protection exploit/bug through Steam support and other channels, Valve even asked us directly for details. We provided info, including the SteamIDs of the 2 accounts used to reproduce the bug. A day later, both accounts were trade-banned, even after Valve confirmed they could see the issue on their end. We strongly believe this was an automated limitation tied to the exploit rather than a manual ban. We never abused the bug, never leaked details, and even warned other platforms that they were at risk. After the exploit was fixed on Steam’s side, we tried reaching out again for help through every possible channel. The only response we received was a generic template from Steam support, followed by complete silence elsewhere. We’re not asking for special treatment, recognition, or drama. We just don’t want to be punished for reporting responsibly and trying to keep the community safe. As we all know, the only way to get Valve’s attention these days is through the community and social networks. Please reply or repost so maybe together we can finally be heard.

Today, we’re making updates to our enforcement system. Our goal is to make it easier for you to track your violation history and know where your channel stands; reduce the risk that streamers lose their communities and livelihoods for low severity violations; and at the same time, encourage positive and healthy online interactions. Here’s what’s new: ✅ Violations now expire: Most violations will expire and drop off of your account after a set amount of time. Higher severity violations will take longer to expire, and violations of our highest harm policies won’t drop off of an account. ✅ Escalating consequences: In order to hold community members accountable for repeated harmful behavior, we’re introducing escalating consequences for repeated violations of the same policy. And coming soon: ✅ More Enforcement Detail: Soon, for violations of most of our policies, we’ll share the chat message or a snippet of the stream that led to the enforcement.
