Time flies! Today marks exactly five years since I shipped the first version of Progressier. Now on version #2732, it’s been quite a journey! 🙃

@wesbos First thing I tried too when downloading Atlas, since it doesn't properly support PWA. I also couldn’t find any reliable way to uniquely tell Atlas apart from Chrome, unfortunately...

Seems to be no way to detect this browser, window globals are slightly different than that of chrome/edge. The chat panel and the agent overlay are separate layers outside the DOM

Open AI's Atlas browser doesn't let you dock the dev tools, uses the Chrome User Agent without modification, and disallows access to browser flags. It does seem you can install extensions and manage by visiting atlas://extensions

@dannymoerkerke Interesting. Your audio demo works fine for me on iOS 26.1. I remember they broke mediaSession with iOS 26 Beta 1 but as far as I can tell they've fixed it since.

Another day, another iOS 26 PWA bug 🙁 Audio no longer plays when the app is installed so no Lock Screen controls either

I developed a new integration with @lovable for Progressier, and it's amazing how quick the setup is. One single prompt and your Lovable project is installable and ready to send push notifications. 😮

@dhh This makes logical sense. But people be wanting their desktop apps. I think the PWA experience would benefit from the ability for Apps to provide a link to 'download' and it just be a PWA. Same emotional experience as native or electron, same tech experience as PWA.

We're replacing our existing Electron apps for Basecamp with a recommendation to use the PWA instead. Chrome and Safari have both nailed the PWA experience, and they update automatically with the browser, so we no longer see the need for Electron. Viva the web!

🚀 Just turned my Framer site into a full PWA with Progressier(progressier.com)! Now it’s installable, faster, & works offline—feels like a real app! 🔥 Who else has tried this? Let’s talk! 👇 #Framer #PWA #Progressier #NoCode #WebDev

Literally the best customer experience I’ve ever had from @kvnbsst. I had noticed an auto renew payment for Progressier. I hadn’t used it since the first few weeks of signing up. Fantastic product but my needs changed. When I cancelled today, I got this email.

@levelsio Cool. Many restaurants here in 🇹🇼 were pretty adamant on adopting QR codes when the first signs of Covid started appearing in Jan-Mar 2020. Do you still see many Taiwan restaurants creating new menus now?

Maybe my least famous project, and it's still doing its job: 🧾 QR Menu Creator . co I made it 4 years ago and it's just ran fully automatic without any updates or marketing it since then Almost 1/3rd of traffic is from Taiwan. Why? No clue either It's used 80,000 times per month: 1) Taiwan 2) USA 3) Turkey 4) Romania 5) Canada

PWA作る時のmanifest.jsonをこれで作ってみたけど、項目がわかりやすいし画像のリサイズもしてくれて便利だった。 おすすめ progressier.com/pwa-manifest-g…

As someone who is an incredibly frugal (aka cheap) founder, it's rare for me to actually find a new SaaS and pay for it but add Progessier (@kvnbsst) to the list! Was super easy to create a progressive web app (PWA), deploy it, get users, and send pushes. Very happy!

@kvnbsst this must be a very reluctant iPhone 12 Mini, it doesn’t want to show notifications from the demo.

@EricPoortinga @weweb_io I think the bigger issue is the lack of root access -- WeWeb won't let you upload a custom service worker file. Without that, no push notifications possible.

@kvnbsst Would love if @weweb_io would partner with you to get advanced PWA functionality. I could avoid going down the road of developing native apps to compliment my web app. My understanding is that the limiting manifest created by WeWeb can't be disabled?

I'm 1,420 days in and I'm still iterating on Progressier all day, every day (just shipped version #2487) — who knew PWA would be so complex 🙃

Unlike native apps — a PWA doesn't *require* installation before it can be used. That's their single best feature.
