Dude the vibes for Anthropic are not good right now. Multiple people telling me the ROI is not there, wanting to switch to Codex. This is people using both fable and non-fable users. Like all at once. Last five business days the levy is breaking.

I think you’ve misunderstood what I was calling cocky - it’s not what he said. It’s that he said it in direct reply to his biggest competitor. At a time where they’re flailing, and most things are going well for OpenAI. They just released an incremental model update that in many ways surpasses their competitions completely new model. They’re sitting on their next-gen model. Anthropic are compute constrained. And Open AI are giving effectively unlimited tokens to their customers. It’s like Dario replying to Open AI saying ‘How’s your enterprise revenue?’ Both companies are in a race. And us customers are the beneficiaries. OpenAI has a few slam-dunks up their sleeves. But I want to want to see them win.

This is only partially true. Anthropic, are compute constrained, so they need to make as much revenue as possible from the compute they have. This meant a focus on enterprise. And then they seem to learn faster, and earn more of the enterprise market. OpenAI are less compute constrained. But this has a downside: they were less focused. Anthropic was backed into a corner. Making some errors, especially around communication, and OpenAI stepped up.

@Conor_D_Dart Anthropic's core market is enterprise and they've long established their popularity with their models. OpenAI is also targeting B2C and want more usage of their models to take some of Anthropic's market share.

How is OpenAI able to be so generous when Anthropic is the opposite?
