That’s not what I mean. I’m not asking X to show people how to bypass detection. I’m saying if a video matches an original upload, X should automatically attribute it to the original creator or link the source. AI can detect more than cropping: frames, audio, music, images, and visual similarity. That protects the owner, not the thief.

Chinese Dunhuang dance resurrects the breathtaking "flying apsaras" and whirling figures from the 1,000-year-old Buddhist murals found in the UNESCO World Heritage Mogao Caves.

@paulg @NatPurser When the best in the world gravitate towards one place, and you see things as 'the USA vs rest-of-world'. 45% being non-US feels disproportionate. Where really it's surprising that the 55% of the 'best in the world' is pulled from 5% of the worlds population.

@NatPurser I haven't either. I think one reason is that successful people naturally end up spending time with other successful people, and in most fields a lot of those are immigrants.

But if I tell you ‘this video was created by @uae2me’ So you go and flip the video, add a filter, you upload it again and it says the same, so you edit the video again, cropping a little, then I ask ‘did you create this, is it your original content?’ You now know that flipping and filtering didn’t work to circumvent the system, but cropping did. Now you know how to circumvent the detection every single time. Making the system broken.

I agree that if you didn’t create or record it, you shouldn’t claim ownership or monetize it as original content. My point is different: many videos circulate on WhatsApp, Telegram, or other platforms with no visible source. A warning system would not help people steal. It would help honest users either credit the original creator, quote the original post, or avoid uploading it at all. That protects copyright owners better.

@uae2me @nikitabier @Rainmaker1973 @ViralRushX This just give you instant feedback as to whether your attempt to circumvent the original content identification. You know if you created/recorded a video or not. If you did not record it, someone else owns the copyright. And the rights to make money from it.

X should add a warning before uploading a video: “This video was posted before” + original source link. Most users can’t know if a clip is exclusive or just widely circulating online. Punishing stolen content is fair, but creators need tools to identify the original source before posting. Attribution should be built into the upload flow.

@theo @an0n_an0n_an0n There’s a weird feeling I get by you saying publicly you are a broker to your audience. Of course it’s true. If it weren’t, why would advertisers pay you? But saying it feels weird.

Over the past month, we have identified a number of large accounts that have been programmatically reuploading content from smaller accounts to game the revenue share program and circumvent crediting the original author. We are now identifying these posts and allocating the impressions entirely to the creator. If you have insightful commentary about a post, we recommend using the Share Video or Quote feature to ensure your posts are properly attributed.

@karayan @uncledoomer @grok I normally would fact check. But I don’t even need to. Your evidence is a screenshot of a photo. If this was even partially true, the FDA and CDC might not do anything, but every other country where the govt is paying for healthcare would.

@karayan @uncledoomer @grok Have you ever lifted 100lbs? Do it regularly you’ll gain muscle. Do it every time you move you’ll gain a lot of muscle. Stop doing it, you’ll lose that muscle. That’s all that’s happening here. If you’re 100lbs overweight, you’re always lifting.

Delta: we skipped over @Starlink because Amazon has really good free shipping They should explain this in a way their passengers will understand.
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

Delta Airlines CEO in new interview on why they chose Amazon Leo over @Starlink: “Amazon brings a lot more than just satellite technology. They bring great retailing capability and Amazon Prime and video gaming technologies, which Starlink does not have. I think the opportunities, in terms of the improved bandwidth with a much lower price point than what we’ve ever seen from Starlink, will make a big difference. Of course, we expect Starlink will be warning people that we’re going to go with an inferior product. But I’m not too worried about partnering with Amazon.” bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

@emanueledpt @useRemodex A, primary/bigger click target off the bottom. People will more precisely tap the smaller tap targets, resulting in less false taps on the bottom of the screen app-close tap target. Also those taps are less frequent.

If they can’t copy it, they start threatening. Vercel can’t handle fair competition. Imagine a billion-dollar company threatening a 100% bootstrapped indie creator.
