Yet still, David was called by God, "a man after God's own heart" even after such massive failure. Because, it wasn't perfection God saw in David, it was how he turned back to God with an honest heart and confessed when he failed. It was how grieved that he hurt God's heart and how he never abandoned God or his faith, even in his lowest, darkest moments. God's Grace is Greater than our most catastrophic failures. It is not perfection that wins the heart of God, it is how we respond when we fall.
