Onlookers say, armed men moving in a drone surrounded his vehicle, put him on gunpoint, and ordered him to move out of his car before driving off with him to an unknown destination. These months have been very difficult for all of us, but even much more difficult for our President. Election rigged. Comrades abducted, tortured and others raped. His two Deputy Presidents among those abducted. The third one arrested and charged with terrorism. His Home attacked by the military. Forced to flee for his life. Home attacked again. Wife assaulted. Property vandalised. Items stolen. Edith Mufumbiro dead. Quickly followed by Hon. Hellen Nakimuli. Not able to physically say farewell to these, his beloved friends,because he is forced by circumstances not to be around. Not because he committed any offence, but because he dared challenge the Museveni regime. He and his family need our prayers. They need our support. Leading an organisation that is hounded left, right and center in such times isn't an easy task.

This week on Monday 13th April, Hon Hellen Nakimuli made these remarks during prayers to mark the Kabaka’s 71st birthday at the Orthodox Church in Namungoona. Thank you for always speaking out whenever you had the opportunity.

This morning at about 9am, I spoke to Hon Hellen Nakimuli (Kalangala Woman MP) regarding a meeting of Opposition MPs that we were planning for tomorrow, and she was coordinating it as Shadow Minister for Information. At the time, she was literally driving herself to hospital for a surgery which she indicated was not major. Unfortunately, she has not made it out of theatre. She has died during the procedure. Kitalo nyo dala!

What a heavy blow! We are deeply devastated by the news of the death of the Kalangala District woman MP Hon. Hellen Nakimuli who has passed on after an unsuccessful surgery. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and comrades.

Our dear friend, Hon. Nakimuli Hellen is no more. Passed on this afternoon at Alexandros Medical Center, where she had gone for an operation that wasn't successful. Such a tragedy😭😭😭😭😭

Over 35 days since she was abducted, my Personal Assistant's wife Fauzia Natabi (in the first frame) was yesterday dumped at the Chief Magistrate Court in Kanyanya which charged and subsequently remanded her to Kasangati Prison. Laughably, she was charged with using a phone to threaten a stranger, just a few hours after regime officials filed affidavits swearing that they neither had her in their custody nor knew where she was! Relatedly, comrade 'Gen. Blue Tick' who was abducted on 9th April as she headed for the vigil of comrade Waiswa Mufumbiro's wife in Mutungo is still missing. The regime continues to remain silent about her whereabouts. Taken together, the cases of these two ladies expose a consistent pattern of abductions and denials of our comrades that are intended to silence the regime's opponents. We must never give up the fight until we're all free! #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners #BringBackOurPeople
