I'm frustrated with people thinking Detroit's a dangerous place filled with bad people. If you've been to Detroit you'll know otherwise. I just fought really bad with my childhood friend who kept saying that I can't prove Detroit's safe. I've been to Detroit thrice, and not once I felt unsafe - but rather I've fallen in love with the city every single time. How can I show people how awesome Detroit is? On rare occasions, you get one who will make a snide comment about "I go to a bible church." On rarer occasions, one will call you a pagan/heretic. In most instances, they'll ask you for clarification about the pope or some other piece of Catholic dogma they're not clear on and leave you be.

I can’t imagine how difficult it is to be a Catholic in the south. The Midwest is a battleground as it is.
