@dittopoop @cityofhamilton Thats what we need the full impact assessment for. Slate is asking for a 400 MW connection (up from 120 initially proposed). According to what I could find online, the Stelco plant drew 30 MW - but no idea if that was initial or steady throughout the years.

@kylejhutton @cityofhamilton What is the plot of land being used for right now? I've been in that general area before and it's super industrial with tons of factories, warehouses and processing plants. Would a DC consume any more electricity/water than any of the surrounding industries?

One of the reasons I'm running for Council is because of the strain on our support networks in Halton and the rest of Ontario. Lack of resources and lack of awareness harms many. Its great to see groups like @CapWaveComm organize and it needs to be paired with government action.

While I appreciate Guilbeault's past advocacy, its clear being part of the Liberal government has entirely hollowed out his green credentials. Even now, as he leaves out the door, he seems unwilling to torch Carney's insistence on profit over environmental protection. Toodles.

@TheCDNWatch @CDNprojections That should be fine tbh, the SCC basically said the commission map was fine but if the Assembly wants to protect some seats they can do that and its up to them to do that, not make the courts do it!

@kylejhutton @CDNprojections fyi I googled it since it wasn't on wikipedia (under qc election) and they are trying to make some frankenstein map where they combine both proposals and add 2 seats... dk what the result will be since they lost at SCC already
