@LinusTech @AMD Doubtful this will reach him, but @kylelami , if you want to add USB-C with data and video combined, you can add it with a DP input from the GPU using a Sunix UPA2015 or UPD2018. They're usually rebranded as Dell, and they have full- and half-height brackets

@marclevy @LinusTech @AMD My earlier designs had something similar to this. Ultimately I went this route as it gives the table more flexibility. I might do something interesting with a projector firing onto the table surface... Still figure stuff out :)

@LinusTech @kylelami @AMD @kylelami Wouldn’t it be more (useful?) to embed a large OLED/LCD panel on the table, then put a plexiglass on top to play on as a surface? Vs whatever you were talking about. And for the felt table top, make that something you can place on top of the plexiglass?

@AgtMluis @linusgsebastian We have thought about it and it is something that we are looking into. Though we would have to figure out a way to differentiate ourselves from what already exists... There are so many bit holders on the market right now.

@linusgsebastian @kylelami have you guys thought about having a removable bit holder on your stubby screwdriver, I only ask because of how much I use it on the full sized one and then it can still be removed to be shorter. PS the reviews for this one isn’t good, the rachet sucks

@foglebr No. Stubby will have a single stack of six 20mm bits.

Shoot, this just made me think of something. Hey @kylelami, could you provide clarification as to the bit length capacity of the Stubby LTT screwdriver prototypes? Full-size of course has capacity for double stack 20 mm bits, with option for single stack 1”. Can stubby fit 1”?

New tool arrived in the CNC Kitchen.

@nicklmg @NefariousLGN Seems normal to me and within allowance. Another reason for this is to allow for the for less friction when ratcheting and it gives the driver its hallmark low ratcheting torque.

@NefariousLGN Yep a little bit of play is normal. @kylelami can maybe comment on if this looks normal to him. In order to minimize horizontal play we had to allow for a bit of vertical. We thought this was the better choice as it doesn't have a meaningful impact on function

@nicklmg Just got my screwdriver and noticed the shaft moves up and down a little bit. Is that normal?

@foglebr @nicklmg @linusgsebastian I also think the main difference here is that ours is not a children's toy, and that might be the main reason for the recalls for Magnetix. That being said we are testing our retention mechanism and doing our best to account for manufacturing tolerances.

What safeguards are being implemented into the design to prevent the magnets from dislodging out of their plastic containers? I imagine best answers for this would come from @nicklmg & @kylelami. @linusgsebastian has learned to not give out premature info, but this is important.

As much as I want to see the ⁦@lttstore⁩ magnetic cable organization product(s) be released, I fear them being recalled for being to much like previously recalled magnet embedded plastic toys. - Magnetix Magnetic Building Set Recall Expanded cpsc.gov/Recalls/2007/m…
