@gregauman I love Baker. Absolutely. But, if his stated goal is to win championships, be the franchise QB and be a great leader, he should learn a bit from Brady. He always took less to keep the team around him stacked. Still paid handsomely, but not top of market.

The hesitation on the team end isn't just because of Mayfield. Huge QB contracts can put an NFL team underwater cap-wise. Russell Wilson got $245 million, Deshaun Watson $230m, Kyler Murray $230m, Tua Tagovailoa $212, Kirk Cousins $180m. Good QBs, all cut or barely starting.
