@DoqxaScott I read it as "I see how many points are correct, but the issue is complicated and not all points commonly associated with this idea follow from the correct ones", which may sound either condescending or precise.

Are you annoyed when hearing a conversation, and one person says to the other "I'm sympathetic to that" [idea or point of argument], rather than "I agree" ? I find it disingenuous.

@prerat I wrote a script to test numbers of likes from 10 to 10000, it hits 75% every time. Not sure how to prove it though.

A tweet has a likes to views ratio of 70% a few minutes after posting, but it increases to 80% in the next few minutes. Is it necessarily true that it was exactly 75% at some point? Why or why not?

@bananamelter Hypocrites are harder to spot, so they require a stronger and more public signals. When someone openly does a wrong thing it's easier to think "others will see it's wrong, so I don't have to signal it".

@ESYudkowsky An example about art: horror stories of Japanese animators being paid very poorly. Art is "overpriced", so it's natural that the price moves down, and the organized effort to support animators has to fight against this pressure.

@ESYudkowsky 1. Barriers preventing the market from being efficient - people not negotiating enough, not moving to better positions. 2. As others here said, price floor below which it doesn't make sense to charge money, power laws.

@magicianbrain Art has more of the artist's personality. You can fine-tune a model to copy someone, it's like you're stealing their work, their soul. It's subjective, you can argue "it will never be real". Most code is a means to an end, it's universal, there is almost no style.

Втянулся окончательно. Там очень хорошая геймификация, помогает пробить самый начальный барьер, после которого уже интересно.

Подсел на manifold.markets Раньше туда заходил, и сразу страшно - всё уже идеально настроено, все такие умные. А теперь чуть разобрался, и сам что-то выбираю
