Last first day of elementary school happened for these @WeAreUnionSTEAM 5ths this week! We had a great week, and looking forward to week 2!

@jhesson83 I have one sweet boy who ended up with THREE with his name on them because mom bought one each time she got the email! 🤣🤣

5th grade at @WeAreUnionSTEAM braved the chilly weather this morning to do a TCAP Review egg hunt on our nature trail. We solved lots of Math problems, and got some fresh air in the process!

@BethMooreLPM @TyndaleHouse @BethMooreLPM, I just finished listening to the audiobook!! I’ve never laughed AND cried so much in one book!! Your raw telling of your story and how God has redeemed it over and over again is something I won’t soon forget! Thank you for your transparency!

One of our toughest standards is knowing whether to multiply or divide fractions in word problems. These kids did a great job analyzing and sorting fraction word problems and providing evidence to prove their thinking. @WeAreUnionSTEAM

Their guiding question: “How Can We Design a Lunar Lander to Safely Land an Astronaut on the Moon?”These kids rocked their designs, and their “astronauts” landed safely! @WeAreUnionSTEAM

Designing lunar landers in STEM Lab today led us to a discussion about forces and motion, design and balance. @WeAreUnionSTEAM

Teachers… What is one thing you wish your principal would do that would tell you they understood how hard this job truly is? Thank you, in advance, for answering. I’m hoping to be better and potentially help others too.

@flyingmonkey13 Our principal @UnionChief2017 and assistant principal @abbybrosche cover recess with our kids occasionally to give us an extra planning time. I appreciate them knowing that TIME is really what I need most!

@UnionChief2017 @abbybrosche Maybe next time just offer to sleep on the roof or in a barn next to a cow. It can’t smell worse than whipped cream on a 86 degree day! Kudos to you both for taking one for the kiddos!!
