I’ve been requested to share some details about the Corsi-Rosenthal boxes we made for a family wedding last month. Hope this thread helps others who might be looking to make indoor spaces safer by improving ventilation: 1/n #corsirosenthal #covidisairborne

On the helicopter leaving the ship right now. This planet is impossibly beautiful from every altitude I’ve seen it…surface to 250,000 miles

🚀 Before Artemis, there was aeronautics. 👨‍🚀 Jeremy Hansen, Mission Specialist of Artemis II, built his career in aviation as a Royal Canadian Air Force fighter pilot. He went on to fly high-performance aircraft and train as an astronaut in preparation for deep space missions. ✈️ From runways to rockets, the path to the Moon starts in the sky. Behind the four astronauts of Artemis II are hundreds of people tracking their every move: monitoring spacecraft systems, evaluating crew safety, and staying in constant communication. Let’s hear it for the team in Mission Control responsible for getting the astronauts around the Moon and safely home.

Imagine having this view as you’re commuting home. The Artemis 2 crew is now falling to Earth, picking up speed every second as gravity relentlessly pulls them. When they plow into the upper atmosphere they’ll be the fastest humans in history - with nothing but air to slow them

‘Moon’ is capitalized when referring to Earth’s Moon. It’s lowercase when you’re referring to other moons, or the verb. <peach emoji>

A few days ago, I was down in the Cupola while we were watching the @NASAArtemis II launch broadcast. As I was floating there, I saw the full Moon rising just past the tip of the Canadarm2. The arm is a crucial part of the @Space_Station, developed by our partners at the @csa_asc. I thought it a fitting image, taken just a few hours before @Astro_Jeremy became the first Canadian to embark on a voyage to the Moon.

The Artemis II crew named a lunar crater after Commander Reid Wiseman's late wife, Carroll. What a beautiful and touching moment. I'm not crying, you're crying 🤧

New record🥇 The Artemis II astronauts are now farther from Earth than humans have ever been! At 1:57 p.m. EDT, they broke the record set by Apollo 13 in 1970. Their journey around the far side of the Moon today will take them a maximum distance of 252,752 miles from Earth.

One last look at Earth before we reach the Moon. This view of the Earth was captured on April 5, the fourth day of the Artemis II mission, from inside the Orion spacecraft. The four astronauts will reach their closest approach of the Moon tomorrow, April 6.

Just 1,500 feet (457 m) from the Artemis II launch, we deployed our special high-resolution, slow-motion camera to record the blast-off in jaw-dropping detail at 2,000 frames per second. Find out how we did it: on.natgeo.com/0BXGmi
