This husband and wife were sitting on their back patio with their dogs enjoying the weather in South Carolina Thursday. At 5:25 pm, a loud explosion rocked their neighborhood and you can hear it plain as day. They gathered their dogs inside quickly not knowing what it was. People were reporting it was heard all over South Carolina. Some said it could have been a sonic boom. Others said no way that was a sonic boom, that was an explosion. Some speculated it could have been a meteor. She called authorities and emergency management and no one seemed to know what it was. No explosions reported, nothing going on. And this morning, still no reports and no explanation. Beautiful backyard btw. 💯 What do you think it was? What could have made that explosion sound and then leave everyone puzzled not knowing what it was or is? Any ideas?

The deputy accused her of manipulating a phone with her right hand. Thomas raised her right arm, revealing she was born missing her hand below the elbow. Instead of dropping the issue, the deputy doubled down and asked her to swear “Hand to God” she wasn’t using a phone, then issued her a $116 ticket anyway. Thomas fought the citation in court. Just before trial, the deputy requested the case be dismissed due to “insufficient evidence.” The charge was officially dropped.
