I said, lets discuss the first one first, which we are doing. Elon lied, there is literally no other way to put it. Sam followed along with this idea that he and elon had, and sam continued it. Sam didnt lie about anything, he was just continuing what they already wanted to do I hope this is alright to tell you, I know this can be difficult, but I think youre doing a psychological defence about the fact that elon lied, you can’t seem to accept that. I don’t mean to step on your toes here, but I am not delusional in my thinking, i see a lie when I see one with evidence. Its not disputed, it’s literally in front of your nose, right there, can’t deny it. Sometimes its hard for people to accept new truths, that doesn’t mean you’re stupid, it’s just our ego fighting and doing a defence mechanism You seem like a smart and ok dude I can have a conversation with. So I thought to share this chart, it are adult defence mechanism 💜

After reading this piece on Sam Altman, one can reasonably conclude he’s put profit over loyalty, principles, and company governance. There’s business savvy and ruthlessness, and there’s Sam, who at multiple points in his career has been the subject of investigations and forced departures from companies he’s founded. When those closest to him raise alarms, they should be heeded by those whom he tries to con into business dealings. While Dario is also insufferable, it should be obvious to all why both him and Elon, who worked closest with Sam, find him to be a dishonest swindler. The last takeaway I have — this article is written by a gay Democrat, one of Sam’s own people, and even he is quite unconvinced that Sam is a good person. OpenAI was clearly changed from a non-profit to for-profit to benefit Sam. It’s clear he lied to Elon and his co-founders. “I think there’s a small but real chance he’s eventually remembered as a Bernie Madoff- or Sam Bankman-Fried-level scammer.” This is the truth and the world sees it.

Sam Altman is “unconstrained by truth,” an OpenAI board member told @ronanfarrow.bsky.social and Andrew Marantz. newyorkermag.visitlink.me/DrbIzE

I thought I was facing the same issue with 150A service at my house. The worst-case load calculations for the panel are VERY conservative and would have prevented me from adding a 60A breaker for the EV charger. However, I DIY installed an Emporia EV charger with an energy monitor in my panel. The charger works with the monitor to limit the EV charge rate in case there is high demand from the rest of the house. In practice, I have never seen it go above 80A peak for the whole house (when it's using 48A for charging the car), so the EV charge rate limiting has never kicked in. As a nice side-benefit, I can see how much energy each of my major appliances is using and it's nicely tracked in an app and on the web. I am not an electrician and this is not advice.

Many people are scared to get a Tesla because they think they need to spend $5000 or more to install a charger at home. No you don't. I charge my Tesla using a regular 240v outlet in my garage. Same outlet as a dryer. Your local electrician can install one for under $500. Your new Tesla already comes with a mobile connector that plugs right into it. If you want a Tesla Wall Connector, that's $450 and about $500 to install. Get home, plug it in, and by the time you finish making dinner it's fully charged. Charging at home can cost you under $3 a day. No more spending $60 a week on gas. The savings of driving an EV are HUGE and it starts on day one. What's stopping you from making the switch?

Note the entity type: Benefit Corporation – A Domestic for-profit Corporation electing to be a Public Benefit Corporation pursuant to Subchapter XV of Title 8 Characterizing this as "Elon lied" is a pretty big assertion, given that it's disputed, currently being evaluated in court, and doesn't have much to do with whether or not Sam lied. There's also plenty of other major Altman lies on that list.

This is not a country filled with good people who believe in God. It's just not. Once a critical mass of evil people hold power somewhere, it doesn't matter much if the weak people are good. They and their children will become evil or stay weak. That's the real reason for the fertility crisis. People intuit this in their souls. No one wants their kids to face a world where the choices are be evil or be trampled. This can be fixed, but it's going to require great sacrifice.

The President's threat against Iran is genocidal, even by the strictest definition. It may be bluster, but that does not change our obligation. To work, a threat must be credible, and we must act accordingly. We attacked Iran. Any order to escalate our attack with nuclear weapons would clearly be immoral, and must therefore be rejected by every person in the chain of command. Anyone who carried such an order forward would become immediately complicit. That is the lesson of history, and those who fail it will be judged harshly by it--and by God. We can't have a Commander in Chief who threatens civilians, idly or in earnest. The President must be removed from office, for the good of the Republic, and the world.

@squatsons North Korea can produce nuclear weapons but it can't manage to build an economy due to EVERYONE IN THE WORLD (Even China!) sanctioning it? So free trade is important? Freely trading with counterparties is also known as ... Capitalism.

1. OpenAI hustled into a for-profit under false pretenses. 2. Altman did not tell the OpenAI board about the initial release of ChatGPT 3. Claimed GPT-4 had been properly safety-tested before release and that OAI is committed to safety-first. Turns out he made it up. 4. Lied about his financial stakes in OAI 5. Loopt (his first startup) board tried to fire him twice for deception and manipulation. 6. Deceptive and exploitive practices with Altman's Worldcoin 7. ChatGPT itself will happily lie to users to stay on their good side. 8. His sister has a court case against him for sexual abuse since she was 3 years old. He says she's "troubled". OAI employees probably wanted him back because he threatened to destroy their equity. They are/were all under NDA's that explicitly threatened their equity stakes were they to speak up about it. Everyone lies. In high-stakes situations, people make mistakes and stretch the truth and manipulate. Altman hasn't just done that once or twice. It's a long historical pattern.

Lets break that down, exactly what lie did he tell? Because with scapegoating people take over the general attitude that others have to say about him, without looking at the facts. If you can point out a lie directly that would be great. Scapegoating mechanism works on people’s subconscious, and they are often not aware that this is happening in their psyche

Correct. Most Robotaxis do have safety monitors right now. I think that will change soon. Tesla is adding ~ 7B FSD miles this year to their already collected ~ 9B. Elon est: 10B to solve autonomy. Even if it takes 20B, they will probably hit that less than 12 mo from now. The money they've sunk into Robotaxi prod ready to crank out cars in the next few months says that they believe in their estimates bc Tesla is pretty conservative with cash. I would bet they start deploying Robotaxis without safety drivers in the next 2-3 months in Austin and whenever they're allowed to do so in SF bay. New cities will likely start with safety drivers until they hit local safety targets. Most likely: 3-6 weeks after release of 14.3, they start ramping full-auto deployment.

Here is what Cathie doesn't understand about $TSLA: Even if Tesla achieves high-margin recurring revenue for its robo-taxi technology, everybody else will be there in a few years. We are not looking at a winner-take-all market here. Autonomy will be a perk to which you can subscribe in almost all cars, so it won't be the definitive advantage for $TSLA over other brands. So, the auto industry will remain competitive. The same will happen with robots. Optimus will be great, but companies like Figure and Unitree are also not that far behind. This is the problem with $TSLA. It doesn't have a core winner-take-all market unlike other tech giants such as Google, Meta, and Microsoft.

The brightline rail in Florida WAS ACTUALLY built. It cost $21.5 billion for 218 miles of rail. That's about $100 million per mile. Even if your average was 2x as good, you would only get about 150 miles of rail built with that $7 billion in wealth confiscated. That doesn't even address all the of problems with taxing wealth. We live in a deeply corrupt society and the corruption is pervasive in government itself. You can't make things better by pouring more money into the corruption machine. It just doesn't work. Step one is fix the corruption. Step two is fund what makes sense. Unfortunately, we can no longer achieve step one with voting. Neither party will actually clean up the mess. They are two sides of the same evil coin. There is a tiny window of possibility to fix things with a 3rd party. It's almost certain to fail. And then what? More and worse corruption. The people in charge are betting that they will be able to enforce their slimeball fraud schemes and control over everyday honest people with robot police and AI surveillance before we get pissed off enough to actually fight back. And they're probably right.

Jeff Bezos has $222 billion. If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could build this entire high speed rail network—and have plenty of money left over. And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.
