USDM on Cardano@USDMOfficial

@CashAnvil Hey remember that time we built a Cardano native fiat-backed stablecoin for the bargain basement price of 800k Ada from the community? How much did that 'USDC integration' cost again? Are ya getting the bang for the buck you'd hoped for, guys?

Who funds the Bitcoin app maintenance on Ledger?
Pete | Beware of Scammers@astroboysoup

2,060,000 ADA for Ledger to maintain the Cardano app for 12 months. The pitch: direct maintenance from @Ledger Technologies SAS so Cardano users get timely updates, bug fixes, firmware compatibility and support for new network features. Hardware wallet support matters. But this proposal has almost no detailed milestone breakdown yet. My read: important infrastructure, weak detail. Would you fund this now, or ask Ledger to come back with a clearer scope? *Not a paid promotion

@InputEndorsers Please vote no on this. Ledger earns money selling HW wallets, unless they offer to send some of their profits back the treasury, they can f*ck off.

@Defied_Investor @lacepool_com Sorry not intending to sound like self justifying cocky individual, my only point was everyone likes to hear the word open source in proposals but the work involved around it not so much haha

It’s frustrating that giving $12 million over three years to support the critical small projects we all build on is considered too big of an ask, while the same big teams get massive one-year grants year after year. I’ve already been giving my time for free trying to help plan better pathways, but it’s the same story — big name teams capture the funding, and smaller contributors can’t be trusted with anything. The structures meant to prevent centralization and collusion clearly aren’t working, which is exactly why we need a separate institution to handle this properly. If we don’t enable it, don’t come knocking when things start falling apart.

@Defied_Investor @DeOpenSourceGuy Christian ramped up and led the Open Source Office at Intersect for years, established frameworks for the core infrastructure we all know and connected Cardano with companies like Bitergia, or the Linux Foundation. Probably missing a lot more here... He is one of the few I trust.

@DeOpenSourceGuy I've been in Cardano for 5 years and I haven't heard of you. Most of the people building anything of actual value are typically known. The "big teams" built the infrastructure. The small teams are typically launching tokens and building dapps that haven't gained any traction.🤷‍♂️

Great first day at the @linuxfoundation Open Source Summit in Minneapolis. Talking to open source devs about blockchain and Cardano with reps from @IntersectMBO @Cardano_CF @IOGroup @andamio_teams and more. The reception has been great so far! Only Blockchain in the space, here's a requisite picture of the empty booth.

Onchain project ratings are now live on Cardano Cube, first initiated by @BeginWallet. You can rate projects directly from the project explore page, queue up multiple ratings, and submit them onchain in a single batch transaction.

Logging off now to get some real work done, seeing where we are in 2 weeks Last thoughts, not funding the dOSPO personally I think will be grave mistake given the lack of responsible coordination there, and don’t expect anyone else to do it right I know they won’t And for those wondering why it needs new setup it’s because I exhausted all other options before going this route, it really is the only way, I did the research and I know what I’m talking about here, back by actual experts not just our own loud noise I took all the risks to do this right and I will stand by it, if approved things be online very fast I’m an operator not a beauracrat Things got done because I made them get done

Leios, node diversity, and new DSLs for smart contracts might be cool, but we can't ignore the fact that infrastructure and tech development is useless without users. We don't get users without things for them to do (services/applications) and without advertising to let them know those services and applications exist. Anything else is just technological masturbation. A chain capable of a gabillion transactions per second and instant finality without users is useless. Everything's a balance, spend and invest accordingly.

BREAKING: Europe is considering Ethereum as the settlement layer for a Euro stablecoin. Not a pilot. Not a sandbox test. Real financial infrastructure. For sovereign money. The ECB's Christine Lagarde said Bitcoin would never enter European reserves. Now Europe is evaluating Ethereum to settle the Euro itself. Public blockchains are moving from crypto markets. To institutions. To governments. To sovereign settlement layers. This is not about hype anymore. This is about who controls the financial rails of the future. And Ethereum just entered that conversation.

@mattpiz Who would build upon a technical solution THE largest company in the ecosystem is not embracing and proposing a different way. Wallets will most likely only integrate a single solution. The risk for a startup is way too high.

@lacepool_com By that I mean, for someone willing to take the time to do it well, they can operate it cheaply to demonstrate it works. And if their API is super easy to integrate, I don't doubt that some dex would integrate it as a USP
