Kids need structure from the moment they wake up. They need a loose schedule of events to follow. They need jobs to do. They need to see that their parent is in control of the day. When I’m on top of this my kids’ behavior is night and day from the days when I’m lazy and lose momentum. They really are mirrors of our psyche

I had an autistic meltdown at work last week where I ended up laying on the floor and crying (embarrassing I know). I’ve been given a disciplinary and put on a three month probation… for causing people distress. My distress was punished for causing distress.
