This semester I have been taking a tech class, and I have learned so much that we can do to better our schools with the help of technology! My fav lesson that I have learned in this semester would be using 3d printers as tool for accommodating SDC students. #csubted4200 #csubted

@tom_karnes A4) I usually get brought new tech to me in a meeting that we have at Panama school district every Wednesday. I usually try them out and see how they fit in my curriculum. @Ststansberry

@tom_karnes A4) Learning from other teachers and educators is a must! Other resources include listening to some educational/tech podcasts, attending PDs. Trial and error in applying new tech/resources is common in the profession. @CSUBTED @DrEddiesClass

A4) When looking for new ways to incorporate technology, I would turn to a colleague. Expanding your knowledge of resources can be a great way to adjust classroom flow. I would test out the resource in my class to be sure it’s a good fit. #CSUBTED #csubedte4200 @doctor2pi

@mrzeeeeeeeee @Ststansberry @doctor2pi Hi Jose! I agree with you and everyone else! Apps like Google translate can be extremely useful, however overuse of this app could be hurtful. For example, a non-english speaking student misses out on human connection if they were to be speaking to a computer all the time.

@Ststansberry A3: just piggybacking off what most students have said..google translate, duolingo, and padlet. Also, having students complete assignments that are digital instead of traditional worksheets.. #CSUBTED #CSUBEDTE4200 @doctor2pi

A3) One tool I love to use is extremely simple; closed captions. Closed captions allows multilingual learners to understand words they may not know in English for any video shown in class. This tool will keep your multilingual students engaged. #csubted #csubedte4200 @doctor2pi

@Cassandra_CSUB @doctor2pi Prodigy is a great tool. Kids that I work with today are so engaged about math just because of that game added “touch”. I love seeing the competitive side of students when playing this game!

@doctor2pi A2.) A technology resource tool that I would recommend to current or future teachers is the platform Prodigy. Prodigy was created for students to practice and strengthen their skills in Mathematics in a fun and engaging way. Students will enjoy! #CSUBTED #CSUBEDTE4200 @doctor2pi

A2) An online resource that I would recommend to other people would be class dojo. Class dojo is a great tool to encourage students of behavior. What is best about this resource is that parents can also keep track of students’ class behavior #csubted @doctor2pi

@BrandonBax68860 @doctor2pi Brandon, google classroom is an amazing tool. So many teachers use it nowadays and they shows me more new things about it everyday. Also it’s easy for kids to use!

@doctor2pi A2) A form of technology I would suggest to future educators or teachers would be Google Classroom. I have been in the teaching field for about 2 years now and it has been one of the most helpful tools! You can assign work, keep in touch to see who’s done or not, etc. Great tool!

@JeanneHeat84308 @doctor2pi @DrEddiesClass Hello Jeanne! Our district also uses clever. The cool thing about clever is that you can find all of your students' applications needed for school in one place. I have only heard good things about Clever from parents.

@doctor2pi Teachers & parents can use tech to check student progress & understanding. My child's school uses Clever & Think Central. I can check on assignments & scores. I know when she is struggling & excelling. I can ask teacher about any concerns #CSUBTED #EDTE4200 @dreddiesclass
